When adding a Connection Device to AcuRite NOW™, the device will automatically be added to the Default Home Location. If you would like to add the Connection Device to a different Home we recommend performing the steps below to do so. Please make sure you have removed your connection device from AcuRite NOW™ or it will not be able to be added to your alternate home location.
Adding A Bluetooth Direct To Wi-Fi Display Connection Device To A Home:
Before performing the steps below please make sure the Bluetooth is enabled on the device that has AcuRite NOW on it. Also please make sure to activate the Bluetooth on the display by pressing the GEAR/SET button on the bottom of our LCD Displays or by going to the Main Menu and selecting Connections> Wi-Fi Setup on our High Definition Displays.
- Open the AcuRite NOW™ App so that you are on the All Devices screen.
- Tap on the Home Icon in the upper left hand corner of the screen.
- Tap on the name of the Home you would like to add the device to from the drop down list.
- You will be taken to the All Device screen for that Home option.
- Tap the blue “+” Icon in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
- Tap on the Add Device Option from the drop down menu.
- The screen will show all discoverable Bluetooth devices that are compatible with the AcuRite NOW™ app. NOTE: It may take a few minutes for the devices to populate.
- Tap on the Add button for the device you want to Add.
- Select your Home Wi-Fi Network from the drop down list and enter in your Home Wi-Fi Network’s Password.
- Tap Next at the bottom of the screen.
- You will see a message that the device is being added. You will also see a blue ring indicator to the right of the Sensor Name. Wait for this indicator to fully turn into a blue ring.
- Once the Device has been added you will see a green circle icon with a white checkmark next to the sensor icon and the words Added Successfully below the sensor name.
- If you do not want the sensor associated with a room at the location, tap on the pencil icon to the right of the outdoor sensor’s name.
- You will see the option to rename the sensor. As well as a room location highlighted. Tap the highlighted room location to deselect it.
- Tap the Finish option.
- You will see the room has been removed from below the Sensor Name. Tap the Done button at the bottom of the screen.
- You will be taken to your Sensor Homepage. Tap the X icon in the upper right hand area of the screen.
- You will now see the All Devices Screen
Adding A Legacy AcuRite Access or Iris 5 in 1 or Atlas 7 in 1 Direct to Wi-Fi Display Connection Device To A Home:
- Open the AcuRite NOW™ App so that you are on the All Devices screen.
- Tap on the Home Icon in the upper left hand corner of the screen.
- Tap on the name of the Home you would like to add the device to from the drop down list.
- You will be taken to the All Device screen for that Home option.
- Tap on any room location for the Home, it does not matter if the Connection Device you are adding will be associated with this room.
- Tap on the blue “+” Icon in the upper right hand corner of the screen.
- Tap on the Add Device option from the drop down menu.
- Tap on the Add Manually, Add MyAcuRite Legacy Devices Option.
- Enter in the last 6 digits of the12 digit Device ID. This is typically found on the back or in the battery compartment of the Direct to Wi-Fi Displays, or on the bottom of the AcuRite Access Device.
NOTE: If you have not already gone through the steps to connect the Direct to Wi-Fi Display online please do that at this time. This article, Legacy Direct to Wi-Fi Weather Station Wi-Fi Setup Through AcuRite NOW™ will walk you through that.
- Tap Continue
- Select either Adjusted Pressure or Station Pressure.( We recommend Adjusted Pressure) and leave the Adjustment box at 0. Tap Apply.
- You will see the Device Profile screen that has the My Sensors and Available Sensors List. Tap on the blue “+” button to the right of the sensor you want to add.
NOTE: If you do not see sensors populate in the list of available sensors, we recommend waiting at least 5 minutes and tapping on the refresh icon to the right of the Available Sensors list. If you still do not see any sensors populating we recommend waiting for an hour and checking again as we do see it may take this long for the sensors to populate.
- The Sensor will be added to the My Sensors list.
NOTE: If you do not see it on the My Sensors list right away, we recommend waiting at least 5 minutes and tapping on the refresh icon to the right of the Available Sensors list. If you still do not see any sensors populating we recommend waiting for an hour and checking again as we do see it may take this long for the sensors to populate.
- Tap the Back Icon in the upper left hand corner of the Device Profile screen.
- Tap the Back Icon in the upper left hand corner of the Add Device screen.
- You will be taken back to the Room screen for the room you selected in step 5. Tap the All Devices option.
- You will now see the Connection Device on the All Devices Screen.
