Renaming Individual Sensors

You are able to rename sensors in the AcuRite NOW™ App to help distinguish between the sensors connected to a device and their locations.

How to Rename Sensors Connected to a Legacy AcuRite Access Connection Device:

  1. Open the AcuRite NOW™ App to view the All Devices screen. Tap on the AcuRite Access that you want to change the sensor names on.


     
  2. On the Home screen for the AcuRite Access, tap on the ME icon in the lower right hand corner of the screen.


     
  3. On the Me Screen Tap on the Pencil Icon to the right of Weather Station Name.


     
  4. Tap on the current sensor name and delete it from the name box.


     
  5. Type in the new name for the sensor and tap on OK.


     
  6. You will now see the updated name on the ME page. Tap the Home Icon in the lower left hand corner of the screen.


     
  7. Tap the back arrow icon in the upper left hand corner of the screen.


     
  8. You will now be back on the All Devices page.

How to Rename Sensors on Legacy AcuRite Direct to Wi-Fi Iris 5 in 1 or Atlas 7 in 1 Connection Device:

  1. Open the AcuRite NOW™ App to view the All Devices screen. Tap on the Legacy AcuRite Direct to Wi-Fi Connection Device that you want to change the sensor name on.


     
  2. On the Home screen for the AcuRite Legacy Direct to Wi-Fi Connection Device, tap on the ME icon in the lower right hand corner of the screen.


     
  3. On the Me Screen Tap on the Pencil Icon to the right of Weather Station Name.


     
  4. Tap on the current sensor name and delete it from the name box.


     
  5. Type in the new name for the sensor and tap on OK.


     
  6. You will now see the updated name on the ME page. Tap the Home Icon in the lower left hand corner of the screen.


     
  7. Tap the back arrow icon in the upper left hand corner of the screen.


     
  8. You will now be back on the All Devices page.
