Sharing with Weather Underground

You can easily share your outdoor readings with Weather Underground. Once your Weather Underground Sharing profile is set up, the readings are automatically sent to Weather Underground by way of Rapid Fire updates. Weather Underground Sharing is limited to a single sensor per AcuRite Access® or Direct to Wi-Fi Display (Connection Device).

NOTE: For PC Connect users only, Weather Sharing is configured within the PC Connect software installed on your computer. Do not use these steps to share with Weather Underground if using PC Connect.

 

Before you begin

  • Register with Weather Underground to obtain a Station ID and Station Key.

  • Verify sharing online is enabled for the Connection Device you want to share. From the menu, select Settings > Share Weather > Enable Online Sharing.

 

 

My AcuRite® app: How to set up sharing with Weather Underground

  1. From the tab/navigation bar, tap the ic_settings_black_24px.svg (Settings menu).

  2. Select Share Weather.

  3. Verify that Enable Device Sharing is enabled (ON).

  4. Select Setup Weather Underground.

  5. Enter your Weather Underground Station ID.

    NOTE: Be sure to enter the ID exactly as it's displayed in your Weather Underground account - in all capital letters. It is almost always comprised of eight letters and one to three numbers. If you have an "O" or "I" as the last letter before the number(s), it's very easy to mistake it as a number.

  6. Enter your Weather Underground Password (Station Key).

    NOTE: We recommended not to copy and paste this information. The Weather Underground Station Key is case-sensitive and does not allow special characters. The password for your weather station is no longer the same as the password for your wunderground.com account. It is now a separate key (Station Key) that is generated specifically for each Weather Underground station ID.

    My AcuRite® does not validate the Password (Station Key) entered with Weather Underground.

  7. Select the Connection Device linked to the sensor.

  8. Select the sensor. Only one (1) sensor can be shared with Weather Underground.

  9. Select Save.

  1. From the tab/navigation bar, Select ic_settings_black_24px.svg (Settings menu).

  2. Select Share Weather.

  3. From the Sharing to Weather Underground, Select on the Profile Name.

  4. From the upper-left corner, Select the mceclip0.png icon.

  1. From the menu, select Settings > Share Weather.

  3. Under Sharing to Weather Underground, click +Add.

  4. Enter your Weather Underground Station ID.

  1. From the menu, select Settings > Share Weather.
  2. From the Sharing to Weather Underground section, Select the circle next to the connection you wish to delete.
  3. Once selected, click  mceclip0.png.
