My AcuRite® continuously monitors the network communication of your AcuRite Access®, PC Connect Display, or Direct to Wi-Fi Display (Connection Device) and the wireless connection, battery level, and operating status of your AcuRite sensors. System Alerts let you know when a Connection Device may need your attention. As an example, when the reading from a sensor has not been received for longer than two (2) hours, a Loss of Signal system alert is activated.
NOTE: Your AcuRite devices are the heart of the My AcuRite® monitoring solution, therefore you can only silence System Alert notifications.
Alert notification is generated when My AcuRite® has not received communication from a specific AcuRite Access®, PC Connect Display, or Direct to Wi-Fi Display for more than 2 hours.
The cause of this alert is commonly due to the device having lost power or its network (Internet) connection.
NOTE: If communication is restored, the alert notification is not removed from your Alerts menu. To remove the notification, you will need to dismiss the alert notification.
Low Battery - AcuRite Sensors
A daily alert is generated when a sensor transmits a low battery status for 10 consecutive check-ins. Low battery status is generated when the remaining battery life of a sensor is less than 25%.
It's a good idea to replace the batteries soon during this alerting condition.
NOTE: If a sensor is no longer reporting a low battery status, the alert notification is not removed from your Alerts menu. To remove the notification, you will need to dismiss the alert notification.
An Alert is generated when the reading from a sensor has not been received for more than two (2) hours.
The cause of this alert is commonly due to the sensor not having battery power or its readings cannot be sent to My AcuRite®.
For use with an AcuRite Access® - verify the sensor is within the wireless range of the device and the device has a network (Internet) connection.
For use with a PC Connect Display - verify the connection between the Indoor Display and your computer is detected, power is applied to the Indoor Display, the PC Connect software is open, and your computer has an Internet connection.
For use with a Direct to Wi-Fi Display - verify the connection between the Indoor Display and the sensor is strong and that the display is connected to your Wi-Fi.
NOTE: If the signal is restored, the alert notification is not removed from your Alerts menu. To remove the notification, you will need to dismiss the alert notification.
Wired Sensor Error - AcuRite Wired Sensors/Monitors
Alert is generated when a sensor has a sensing element error.
The cause of this alert is commonly due to the wired sensor being unplugged from the monitor or it being damaged.
NOTE: If the error is resolved, the alert notification is not removed from your Alerts menu. To remove the notification, you will need to dismiss the alert notification.
Interference - AcuRite Lightning Sensors
An Alert is generated when a sensor is experiencing interference.
Interference can impact the device's ability to accurately detect lightning in your area.
NOTE: If the error is resolved, the alert notification is not removed from your Alerts menu. To remove the notification, you will need to dismiss the alert notification.
