It's important to learn how to manage your AcuRite Connection Devices from your My AcuRite® account. Here we explain the different types of Connection Devices that are compatible with My AcuRite®.

AcuRite Access®

An AcuRite Access® is a stand-alone device that sends readings from AcuRite sensors to My AcuRite® over your network (Internet) connection.

  • The AcuRite Access® is associated with your My AcuRite® account by its unique 12-character Device ID.
  • Once you add the Connection Device to your account, you then link your AcuRite sensors to the Connection Device in your My AcuRite® account.
  • The Dashboard displays a tab for each Connection Device, which displays the readings and status of its linked sensors.
  • The Access device supports up to seven (7) compatible AcuRite sensors.

PC Connect Display

The PC Connect Display is the indoor unit that displays the readings from a single Iris® (5-in-1) Weather Station. Using the PC Connect software installed on your Windows 8 or higher computer and the USB connection between your computer and the PC Connect Display, the readings are sent over your network (Internet) connection to your My AcuRite® account.

  • A PC Connect Display is associated with your My AcuRite® account by its unique 12-character Device ID.

  • Once you add the PC Connect Display to your account, you then link your Iris® (5-in-1) sensor to the Connection Device in your My AcuRite® account.

  • The PC Connect Display's linked Iris® (5-in-1) sensor and its readings are displayed in its Dashboard tab.

  • A PC Connect Display is listed as a tab on your Dashboard.

Direct to Wi-Fi Display

A Direct to Wi-Fi Display is the indoor unit that displays the readings from a single Iris® (5-in-1) or Atlas® Weather Station. After connecting the display to your Wi-Fi network, the readings are sent over your network (Internet) connection to your My AcuRite® account.

  • A Direct to Wi-Fi Display is associated with your My AcuRite® account by its unique 12-character Device ID.

  • Once you add the Direct to WiFi Display to your account, you then link your sensor to the Connection Device in your My AcuRite® account.

  • The Direct to Wi-Fi Display's linked Iris® (5-in-1) or Atlas® sensor and its readings are displayed in its Dashboard tab.

  • A Direct to Wi-Fi Display is listed as a tab on your Dashboard.

AcuRite Sensors

AcuRite sensors take readings at their installation location. The sensor readings are sent to your My AcuRite® account through your Connection Device.

  • AcuRite Access® device - sends the current readings from your sensors every 5 minutes to My AcuRite® over your network (Internet) connection.

  • PC Connect Display- the Iris® (5-in-1) readings are sent to the PC Connect software by way of the USB connection between the Display and your computer. For PC Connect use, My AcuRite® sharing must be enabled in the PC Connect software.

  • Direct to Wi-Fi Display- the Iris® (5-in-1) or Atlas® readings are sent to My AcuRite® over your network (Internet) connection every 5 minutes.

From the profile of a Connection Device, your AcuRite sensors are listed in two categories - either in My Sensors or Available Sensors.

  • My Sensors - lists the sensors that are linked to the Connection Device dashboard. These sensor readings are being sent to your My AcuRite® Dashboard. To view the readings of a sensor from My AcuRite® Dashboard, the sensor is required to be linked to a Connection Device.

  • Available Sensors - the sensors that are not linked to a Connection Device. If the device is an AcuRite Access® device, the sensors listed are in the wireless range of the Access device, but the readings are not being sent to the My AcuRite® Dashboard. If using a PC Connect or Direct to Wi-Fi Display, setup is complete, but the readings collected by the Iris® (5-in-1) or Atlas® Weather Station are not being sent to your My AcuRite® Dashboard.
