Accounts Following Me
Identifies the My AcuRite® account following your Connection Device. Your AcuRite Access®, PC Connect Display, or Direct to Wi-Fi Display and its linked sensors appear as a tab on the Dashboard in the account following you.
Accounts I Follow
Identifies the Connection Device of a My AcuRite® account you are following. The AcuRite Access®, PC Connect Display, or Direct to Wi-Fi Display and its linked sensors appear as a tab on your Dashboard.
Adjusted Pressure
Refers to barometric pressure that has been adjusted for altitude using the address or Postal Code location set in the profile of the Connection Device.
Alert Contacts
The Alert Contacts manage how you and others are notified when an alert is activated. Once you have created your alert contacts, the contacts can be added to your Alerts.
Our partner that provides current conditions and weather forecast information. Weather generates its forecasts from a wide range of weather data sources, which are aggregated together statistically to provide the most accurate forecast possible for a given location.
Atlas Weather Station
Collects outdoor temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, rainfall readings, UV and light intensity, and optional lightning detection.
Available Sensors
The sensors that are not linked to a Connection Device. If the device is an AcuRite Access®, the sensors listed are in wireless range of the device, but the readings are not being sent to your account. If using a PC Connect Display, My AcuRite® sharing is enabled in the PC Connect software, but the readings collected by the Iris® (5-in-1) Environmental Monitoring Station are not being sent to your account, your sensor only appears in this area. If using a Direct to Wi-Fi Display, your display unit is connected to your Wi-Fi, but the readings collected by the Iris® or Atlas® Environmental Monitoring Station are not being sent to your account, your sensor only appears in this area. To view the readings from your account, the sensor must be linked to a Connection Device.
Average Wind Speed
The average of all wind speed readings collected in the interval of time being viewed.
Barometric Pressure Settings
Sets how pressure readings are displayed in your My AcuRite® account. An AcuRite Access®, PC Connect Display, and Direct to Wi-Fi Display all have an internal barometer.
Clouds
Refers to the cloud cover forecast for your area. Provided by Weather.
Communication Loss Alert
Alert is generated when communication has not been received from a Connection Device within the time period set in the System Alert. By default, the time period is set to 2 hours. This type of alert may be due to the device losing power or it does not have a network (Internet) connection.
Connection Device
A Connection Device in My AcuRite® is defined as an AcuRite Access®, PC Connect Display, or Direct to Wi-Fi Display that streams the data of your My AcuRite® compatible sensors.
Current Condition
An indicator of the current weather condition at the address or zip code set in the profile of a Connection Device. Data is provided by our partner Weather.
Current Wind Speed
The latest reading of wind speed measured in mph, km/h, or knots.
Custom Alerts
Alerts that are set to your specific monitoring requirements.
Dashboard
Displays the most recent readings sent from your AcuRite sensors and the current weather and forecast predictions for the location of your Connection Device.
Device ID
The unique 12-character Device ID that identifies a Connection Device. Also known as the MAC Address.
Dew Point
The temperature at which the air becomes fully saturated with water vapor (i.e.100% humidity).
Dew Point High
The highest Dew Point measurement in the interval of time being viewed.
Dew Point Low
The lowest Dew Point measurement in the interval of time being viewed.
Direct to Wi-Fi Display
The indoor unit that displays readings from a single Iris® (5-in-1) or Atlas® Weather Station. This type of display wirelessly connects to your Wi-Fi network to stream the data from your sensor over your network (Internet) connection to your My AcuRite® account. A Direct to Wi-Fi Display is associated with your account by its unique 12-character Device ID.
Display Units
Sets how the readings of AcuRite sensors are displayed in your account. Readings can be set to Imperial or Metric. Temperature readings can be set to include a tenth of a degree.
Elevation
Elevation refers to the height above sea level. Provided by Google Maps and is based on the address set in the profile of a Connection Device. You can customize the elevation to ensure My AcuRite® uses the most accurate elevation for where your Connection Device is located.
Feels Like
A measurement of how hot or cold it really feels outside. The Feels Like temperature is calculated and displayed only when the current temperature reading is between 40° Fahrenheit (4° Celsius) and 80° Fahrenheit (27° Celsius).
Feels Like High
The highest Feels Like temperature measurement in the interval of time being viewed.
Feels Like Low
The lowest Feels Like temperature measurement in the interval of time being viewed.
Forecast
A prediction of future weather conditions provided by our partner Weather. The forecast location is determined by the Postal Code and address set in the profile of a Connection Device.
Heat Index
A measurement of how hot it feels outside and is only calculated when temperatures exceed 80° Fahrenheit (27° Celsius).
Heat Index High
The highest Heat Index measurement in the interval of time being viewed.
Humidity
Humidity, or relative humidity, is the ratio of moisture in the air as compared to the maximum amount of moisture the air can hold, which varies depending on the air temperature.
Humidity High
The highest Humidity reading in the interval of time being viewed.
Humidity Low
The lowest Humidity reading in the interval of time being viewed.
Iris® (5-in-1) Weather Station
Collects outdoor temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction, and rainfall readings.
Latitude
The location north or south in reference to the equator, which is designated at zero (0) degrees latitude.
Location Details
Provides data specific to the location of a Connection Device. The data is based on the address or Postal Code set in the profile of a Connection Device. The visibility, cloud cover, sunrise, sunset, and moon phase data is provided by our partner Forecast.io. The elevation, latitude, and longitude data is provided by Google Maps.
Longitude
The location east or west in reference to the Prime Meridian, which is designated as zero (0) degrees longitude.
Loss of Signal Alert
A reading from a sensor has not been received for more than 2 (two) hours.
Low Battery Alert
The remaining battery life of a sensor is less than 25%. It's a good idea to replace the batteries soon.
Moon Phase
The phase of the moon on the current day. The moon changes in appearance and location in the sky every day, which is why we refer to the moon by its phases: new moon, new crescent moon, 1st quarter moon, waxing gibbous, full moon, waning gibbous, 3rd quarter, and old crescent.
My AcuRite
My AcuRite® is a cloud-based software solution that collects weather and environment data from select AcuRite monitoring sensors. From My AcuRite®, you can monitor your conditions and receive alerts when temperature, humidity, wind, or moisture condition may need your attention. You can view and monitor your conditions online at any time from the My AcuRite® app or from www.myacurite.com on your laptop or desktop computer.
My Sensors
The AcuRite sensors that are linked to a Connection Device. The sensor readings are being sent to your My AcuRite® account.
Notos™ (3-in-1) Weather Station
Collects outdoor temperature, humidity, and wind speed readings.
Offline
Displays an Offline status when the reading from the sensor has not been received for more than 2 (two) hours.
Password Requirements
My AcuRite® requires that an account password must have a minimum of six (6) characters, including both an upper and lower case letter, and have at least one (1) number.
PC Connect Display
The indoor unit that displays readings from a single Iris® (5-in-1) Weather Station. Using the AcuRite PC Connect software installed on your computer and the USB connection between your computer and the PC Connect Display, the readings are sent over your network (Internet) connection to your My AcuRite® account. A PC Connect Display is associated with your account by its unique 12-character Device ID.
Peak Wind Speed
A rolling value showing the highest wind speed recorded over the past 60 minutes.
Pressure
Pressure, or barometric pressure, is the weight of the air at a specific location, measured in Inches of Mercury (inHg) or Hectopascals (hPa).
Pressure High
The highest Pressure measurement in the interval of time being viewed.
Pressure Low
The lowest Pressure measurement in the interval of time being viewed.
Push Notification
An alert notification generated from the My AcuRite® app. A Push Notification is displayed on a smartphone when an alert is activated.
Rain High
The highest total Rain measurement in the interval of time being viewed.
Rain Total
The total amount of rain that has fallen during the current day.
Rainfall
The total Rainfall amount in the interval of time being viewed.
Sharing to Weather Underground
Allows the outdoor readings of an AcuRite sensor to be sent to Weather Underground. Sharing the readings of an outdoor sensor linked to an AcuRite Access® or Direct to Wi-Fi Display is set up in My AcuRite®. Sharing the readings of an Iris® (5-in-1) Environmental Monitoring Station that is linked to a PC Connect Display is set up in the PC Connect software.
Station Pressure
Shows the exact measurement taken by the Connection Device's internal barometer- does not include an adjustment for altitude.
Sunrise
The time in the morning when the sun appears or full daylight arrives.
Sunset
The time in the evening when the sun disappears or daylight fades.
System Alerts
Alerts that monitor the communication of your Connection Device and the wireless connection, battery level, and operating status of your AcuRite sensors.
Temperature High
The highest recorded temperature reading in the interval of time being viewed.
Temperature Low
The lowest recorded temperature reading in the interval of time being viewed.
Temperature
Is the measurement of air, liquid, or soil in Fahrenheit or Celsius.
Theme Options
My AcuRite® offers two color theme options - Dark or Light. The Light theme displays a light gray background with dark gray text, and the Dark theme displays a dark black background with white text.
Time Zone
My AcuRite® sensor readings, chart data, and alert notifications are displayed in the Time Zone set in the profile of a Connection Device.
Visibility
Visibility refers to the distance at which a given standard object can be seen and identified with the unaided eye. Provided by Weather.
Weather Underground
A commercial weather service that provides real-time weather information. Weather Underground provides weather reports for most major cities across the world on its website, as well as local weather reports for newspapers and websites.
Wind Average
The average of all Wind Speed measurements within the time period specified.
Wind Chill
A measurement of how cold it really feels outside. The wind chill formula relies on environmental data including the wind speed and the ambient air temperature - is only calculated and displayed when temperatures are below 40° Fahrenheit (4° Celsius).
Wind Chill Low
The lowest Wind Chill measurement in the interval of time being viewed.
Wind Direction
The direction air is blowing from in the atmosphere.
Wind Gust
A sudden, brief increase in the speed of the wind followed by a lull. Gusts are reported when the peak speed reaches at least 18 mph (30 km/h) and the variation in wind speed between peaks and lulls is at least about 10 mph (17 km/h).
Wind High
The highest Wind Speed measurement in the interval of time being viewed.
Wind Low
The lowest Wind Speed measurement in the interval of time being viewed.
Wind Speed
The measurement of the movement of air in the atmosphere.
Wired Sensor Error Alert
A sensor has a sensing element error. This type of alert may be due to the wired sensor being unplugged from the device or damaged.
