High-Definition Indoor Display Reset

If your High-Definition display unit is experiencing any of the following issues, please perform the reset steps below.

  • Will Not Turn On
  • Frozen on AcuRite Screen
  • Distorted
  • Showing Static or Lines
  • Mirrored/Backwards
  • Incorrect/Inaccurate Indoor Temperature or Humidity 
  • Inaccurate 12-24 hour Future Forecast (For models that do not feature a Dark Sky forecast)
  • Inaccurate Barometric Pressure Reading  
  • Clock/Time is Fast, Slow, or Inaccurate
  • Buttons or Touchscreen Not Responding
  • Rainfall Totals are not being added to Monthly/Yearly Totals

 

To reset using the Factory Reset option in the Main Menu:  

(THIS WILL CLEAR ALL OF YOUR HISTORY AND YOUR SETTINGS)

  1. If you are able to access the Main Menu, please press or tap the Main Menu button on the display.
  2. Use the UP or DOWN arrows to navigate to or tap the Factory Reset option.
  3. You may receive a prompt asking if you want to reset to factory settings. Select "Yes".

  4. It may ask you "Are you sure?", Select "Yes". The display will reset itself and go to the main AcuRite logo screen.

  5. You will now be able to set up the display by following the on-screen prompts. 

 

If you are unable to access the Main Menu or the above reset procedure did not correct the issue, please proceed with the steps below:

(THIS WILL CLEAR ALL OF YOUR HISTORY AND YOUR SETTINGS)

  1. Please unplug the display unit for a full five minutes to allow the unit to power down completely.
  2. Verify that the outlet that you are using is working by testing with other devices.
  3. Plug the display unit back into the power outlet.
