LCD Indoor Display Reset

You should perform the reset steps below if you experience the following:

  • Partial Digits or Missing Segments on the Display 
  • Incorrect/Inaccurate Indoor Temperature or Humidity 
  • Backlight Issues 
  • The Ticker on the bottom of the display is showing X's, 8's, or is scrambled
  • Inaccurate 12-24 hour Future Forecast
  • Inaccurate Barometric Pressure Reading  
  • Clock/Time is Fast or Slow 

 

To reset using the RESET button located in the battery compartment of the display:  

(THIS WILL CLEAR ALL OF YOUR HISTORY AND YOUR SETTINGS)

  1. Please verify that you are using a name brand (Rayovac, Energizer, Duracell, or Kirkland) standard alkaline batteries in the display unit. We do not recommend using anything that is heavy-duty, rechargeable, store brand, or Lithium inside of the display.
  2. Remove all power, (AC adapter and batteries) from the display unit.
  3. Press and hold down the reset button, located in the battery compartment for 20 seconds.
  4. Plug back into AC power only. No battery backup.
  5. Press and hold down the reset button for an additional 20 seconds.
  6. Verify that the unit has powered on and once a connection has been made, attempt to set time and date. You can then insert recommended back up batteries into the display. 

 

If your display does not include a RESET button located in the battery compartment:

(THIS WILL CLEAR ALL OF YOUR HISTORY AND YOUR SETTINGS)

  1. Please verify that you are using a name brand (Rayovac, Energizer, Duracell, or Kirkland) standard alkaline batteries in the display unit. We do not recommend using anything that is heavy-duty, rechargeable, store brand, or Lithium inside of the display. 
  2. Remove the batteries and unplug the unit, if applicable, for a full five minutes to let the display power down completely then reinstall the batteries.
