High / Low Records

If your unit has a clock on it:

  1. The High/Low records automatically clear every 24 hours. The time records are cleared is determined by the time the unit was powered on. For example, if the unit was powered on at 6:00 pm, then high/low records reset at 6:00 pm daily.

If your unit does not have a clock on it:

  1. The High/Low records work on a 24-hour schedule to calculate the high and low settings. The unit does not have a clock displayed so internally it uses blocks of time made up of 12 hours which begins at the time the batteries are installed. At the end of each block, it will examine the last 3 blocks, or 36 hours, to determine what the highest high or lowest low reading has been.

The high and low readings displayed will always be within a minimum of 24 hours and a maximum of 36 hours.

If the unit is the 00986 AcuRite Digital Fridge/Freezer Thermometer:

  1. The min/max records appear to the right of the current temperature reading from each sensor. These readings reflect the minimum and maximum temperatures recorded since the batteries were inserted or since the CLR button was last pressed. To clear the min/max records, press and release the CLR button once. This clears the records from both sensors.
