CLEAR -Press and release while viewing historical data to clear the record being viewed. 

RESET -Press and hold to reset the display back to factory defaults and clear all data.

 

Set the Time, Date & Units:

Press the mceclip2.png button, located on the front of the display unit, to enter SET MODE. Once in set mode, the preference you are currently setting will blink on the display.
To adjust the currently selected (flashing) item, press and release the mceclip0.png or mceclip1.png arrow buttons (press and HOLD to fast adjust).
To save your adjustments, press and release the mceclip2.png button again to adjust the next preference.
The preference set order is as follows:
RF CHANNEL (A, B, C; A recommended)
AUTO DST (ON / OFF)
12 OR 24 HOUR CLOCK DISPLAY
CLOCK HOUR
CLOCK MINUTE
CALENDAR MONTH
CALENDAR DATE
CALENDAR YEAR
TEMPERATURE UNITS (ºF or ºC)
WIND SPEED UNITS (MPH, KPH, Knots)
RAINFALL UNITS (in or mm)
PRESSURE UNITS (inHg or hPa)
You will automatically exit SET MODE if no buttons are pressed for 10 seconds. Enter SET MODE at any time by pressing the mceclip2.png button.

 

Display Backlight Settings:

This display unit features three brightness settings (High, Medium, and Low) and an Auto Dim mode. Brightness is at its highest setting by default. Pressing the mceclip4.png backlight button once dims it to the Medium setting. Press the mceclip4.png backlight button again for the Low setting. Pressing the mceclip4.png backlight button a third time will activate the Auto Dim mode. When in Auto Dim mode the display automatically dims to its lowest brightness setting at night and brightens to its highest setting during the day. When in Auto Dim mode a mceclip4.png icon will appear on the display next to the time.
Press and hold the mceclip4.pngbacklight button for 5 seconds to disable the backlight. Once any button is pressed, the backlight will return to your selected setting.

 

Learning Mode:

Self-Calibrating Forecasting uses a unique algorithm to analyze changes in pressure over a time period (called Learning Mode) to determine your altitude.
After 14 days, the Learning Mode icon disappears from the display screen. At this point, the self-calibrated pressure is tuned in to your location and the unit is ready for superior weather prediction.

 

Weather Forecast:

AcuRite’s patented Self-Calibrating Forecasting provides your personal forecast of weather conditions for the next 12 to 24 hours by collecting data from the sensor in your backyard. It generates a forecast with pinpoint accuracy - personalized for your exact location.

Barometric Pressure:

Subtle variations in barometric pressure greatly affect the weather. This weather center displays the current pressure with an arrow icon to indicate the direction the pressure is trending (FALLING, STEADY, or RISING).

 

Moon Phase:

Track the phases of the moon, conveyed through simple lunar phase icons:

Weather Select:

Weather Select displays data including wind chill, dew point, and heat index. To view a different Weather Select reading, press the mceclip1.png arrow button on the front of the display. After 10 seconds, the Weather Select section will revert back to the most relevant reading based on the outdoor temperature.

Heat Index calculation displays when the temperature is 80°F (27°C) or higher.
Dew Point calculation displays when the temperature is between 40°F (4°C) and 79°F (26°C).
Wind chill calculation displays when the temperature is 40°F (4°C) or lower.

 

Rainfall Tracking:

Press the mceclip0.png arrow to view other rainfall totals including Today, 48-Hour, 7-day, Month, Days Since Last Rain, All-time, and Year.

 

Wind Speed:

Average Wind Speed- located inside the wind circle, displays the average wind speed reading from the last 60 minutes.

Max Wind Speed- located to the left of the wind circle, displays a rolling value showing the highest wind speed recorded over the last 60 minutes.

NOTE: The wind speed digits will enlarge to the size shown above if the wind speed reading reaches 10 mph or more to draw your attention to the higher wind speed. Digits 0-9 mph will appear in a smaller font size. 

 

Wind Direction:

Solid Arrow- Current Wind Direction

Larger Hollow Arrow- Previous Wind Direction

Smaller Hollow Arrow- Wind Direction Prior to Previous

Arrows are located where the wind is coming from and pointing where the wind is blowing to.

 

Alarms:

To enter ALARM SET MODE, press and release the mceclip4.png button. The currently selected setting will begin flashing on the display.

To enable/disable the alarm for the currently selected (flashing) item, press and release the mceclip0.png or mceclip1.png arrow buttons. A mceclip3.png icon indicates that the alarm is enabled. The alarm disabled icon looks like this mceclip1.png

To adjust the values for which the alarm will sound, press and release the mceclip2.png button while the desired value is flashing. Next, use the mceclip0.png or mceclip1.png arrow buttons to adjust the value. Then press the mceclip2.png button to save your selection.

To view Historical Records press the mceclip2.png button. Historical records are available for the following readings.

Direct to Wi-Fi Setup:

Disable Wi-Fi Feature

To disable the Wi-Fi feature, press and hold the mceclip0.png and mceclip1.png arrow buttons for 10 seconds. The Wi-Fi icon on the top of the display will disappear and you will not be able to set up the Wi-Fi feature.
