Wrong Date on Acu-Rite Weather Station, Model 02001A3.

I have an Acu-Rite Weather Station, Model 02001A3. I can set the date, but it always eventually resets itself so that the date is wrong by one day. For example, today is Nov 3, but the unit says this is Nov 4.  This was true both this AM and also this PM.  Any idea what's going on?

Hello Stephen,

There is a known issue with this model number.  The unit will not accept the leap year for 2016.  This will correct itself after January 1st 2017.  If you do not want to wait, you will need to turn the atomic signal off.  To do so you need to press and hold the up and down arrow buttons until you see the atomic signal bars disappear at the bottom left corner.  Please let us know if you have any other questions.  Thank you and have a great day!

Thanks for your quick response and the simple explanation.  I should have thought of that.  Apparently, you're tired of answering this question.  The first line of your response says "Hell Stephen"  :-)

Hello Stephen,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention! It has been corrected and is completely unintentional.  However, have had a lot of questions on this issue!  Have a great day!

I had the same problem about the leap year date and turned off the atomic signal. In 2017 I turned it back on and it was fine all year. 2018 has been a different story! It's back to showing the date as a day behind the calendar, as if it were another unrecognized leap year. Then this morning on May 9th, the date showed April 30!! I finally found the instructions to turn off the atomic signal again, then reset the correct date. I have enjoyed the use of the weather station but I hope no one else is having this same problem with their "Groundhog Day" clock!!
PS: I also have an alarm clock that connects to the atomic signal and it is always 10-15 minutes too fast!! Maybe my house needs the Doctor to come fix it!!
