wind speed anemometer keeps breaking

this is the second one I have had coming apart. first one cracked fell apart Costco replaced now this one is all cracked about to come apart. is there anything that can be done about this?

Do you have large birds that may be using it as a perch? Or do you have constant very high wind speeds? If under warranty contact Acurite they are very accommodating in my experience. I am Still not happy with the latest software release. But I must say their staff in all cases are extremely professional. Even if they don't solve the real problems behind our posts, such as inherent design and software issues. They do try hard to resolve the issue for us. But it requires you to present your problem in a logical and thought out physics related or electronic, software engineering design problem exposure. Good luck resolving your problem.

I live in Florida not many birds .I think it's heat cracks. They need a better design

My new 5 in one is only four days old. It rained yesterday morning, and then went below freezing and the wind gauge stopped turning (froze up). I brought it in the house and it moves freely again, but I notice the mounting base on the cups is cracked. After being back outside for ten minutes it is frozen again. Surely - a weather vane should be able to withstand freezing temps without freezing up. Anyone else had this trouble?

This one will be going back to Costco next week.

The design of your wind cups changed and the hub does not fit the spindle correctly.

Hello Michael,

What is the model number of your sensor? Do you have a 5n1 sensor or a 3n1 sensor. We offer wind cups for both products. If you purchased the 3n1 wind cups for a 5n1 sensor they will not fit. Did you purchase the wind cups directly from us? Is there an order number you can provide so we can look into this for you?

I have a model #01515DIA1 and the wind cups are breaking.  The replacement you show does not match my model number.  Will it fit?
