It will stop working unless Acurite changes their mind about discontinuing support for it.

No "support" doesnt mean it will cease to function, they just wont offer help if theres any issues.

This is not true!.  "No support" in this case means that they will no longer accept data from the hub.  This means that it will also stop sending to Weather Underground.  "No support" means that you station with a hub can no longer send data to anywhere on the internet.  Check the posts from AcuRite if you still don't believe this.  They have directly said it.

Youre right joegr! I had posted based on what a SMART company would do and does. I read the statement from Acurite and am flabbergasted by their short sighted methodology to get CUSTOMERS to upgrade! Sounds like Acurite should be the ones making headlines, NOT Apple!

this is BS I spent good money on my station for them to just make it worthless. I smell a class action suit here. give us the new equipment needed or offer us a TOTAL refund. They don't even off free shipping on the new device thats just wrong..

Yes! I am looking and there are plenty of products available from other manufacturers that will satisfy my needs.

Hello Mike,
The smartHUB will no longer transfer to Weather Underground when service ends 8/31/18.  You can request your upgrade code at the link below. We are happy to answer any questions you may have.  Thank you.

I'm currently working on an Arduino project to receive the 433MHz signal from my 5-in-1 and send it to WU via WiFi.  I think I'm 2/3 the way there.  When the 5-in-1 finally dies, I'll probably use discrete sensors to make my on.

I'm not buying anything till after next Feb. circuit boards don't last forever out in the elements. my 5 in 1 is going on 3 years now I will have gotten my money out of it by then. Costco will have a new unit by then and the new hub will be included anyway

I have seen it identified as the LaCrosse 330-2315.  I did find a sale ad that included "Wi-Fi connectable; compatible with weather Underground "  However, anyone considering it would be well advised to verify that it really can.
