I hope so... Otherwise this upgrade is useless!

Acurite will need to answer but I doubt it.

They probably found issues when supporting 10 sensors either in the old SH or with the new sensors that transmit data more frequently. The new Access has better antenna and also stores data during brownouts up to 12 hours and then uploads to MyAcurite.com. Old SH could not do this. although minor, Access lights are less obnoxious.

So there are improvements in Access over SH. During all my testing, I preferred Access. But I am also not monitoring 8 or more sensors.

The blue and access lights are much better now... that is one thing I always hated about the smart hub was those stupid blue flashing lights... Way too much of an over kill.

agree. you either needed to turn them off which defeated the purpose of the lights or put in a room that you didnt care about being able to read a newspaper after sunset....

Hello Bob K,

7 is the max amount of sensors the AcuRite Access will hold.  We appreciate your feedback, and have passed it along to our development team. Thank you.

I'm shocked that AcuRite would downgrade the amount of devices supported from 10 to 7. They must have known this would be upsetting to customers who are running 8+ devices on a SmartHub but choose to do it anyway. As a former software engineer, I doubt there is any actual system limitation here. This was a conscious choice; but why? Maybe it saves them bandwidth on their servers?

I have two SmartHubs, in two locations, each tracking 9 sensors. I was planning to get 1 additional sensor for each location. Now, I'll have to pick 4 sensors to disconnect.

Extremely frustrating.

It isn't necessary to respond to every post suggesting people call support either.

You call support because they can help with problem like this.  Or at least they could... that policy has likely expired by now along with the discount rate.
