No.  That particular display is designed to work with a 3n1 sensor.

Generally, all of Acurite's displays are built to only listen to a particular sensor model.   So if you have a 5n1 sensor, you must have a display designed for a 5n1 sensor.

Thanks,I was hoping to have the 2 display units at different places with just the 5 in 1 sensor.

It is possible to have multiple displays reading the same sensor.  The caveat is that they must all be compatible with that particular sensor model.

I wonder if they use different channels or different codes to make them compatible, worth to look into it.

The A-B-C channels are just a way for the displays to distinguish between devices of the same model.  For example, say your neighbor had a 5n1, too.  He would have to set his display and his 5n1 to a channel different than yours in order to keep his data separate.

Each sensor model does send out a "model type" code, though.  However, it isn't something you can change.  Basically, the 5n1 compatible displays are looking for the model code of a 5n1 in the data packet.  If the sensor isn't advertising itself as a 5n1, then the display just ignores that data.

Hi Luis,

Like George said, the sensors work with sensor-compatible displays.  In the case of the 00639, that particular 3-in-1 sensor is specific to ONLY the 00639.  The compatible sensor is the 3N1TXR, which can be found at this link: http://www.acurite.com/replacement-sensor-3n1txr-for-00639.html

Have a great day!
