Will new Acurite Access (new hub) have a standalone lightning sensor at some point?

I am on the fence about getting the new hub with the discount, The back up functions are nice, but I know I want it if it will support a stand alone lightning strike sensor. I know it will with the atlas from what I have read but I don't want that expensive of a unit, at least with me guessing how much it will be. Thanks.

Hello Donald,
We understand our customers are looking to monitor lightning. We are hoping to implement this in the future however, we do not have an update as of yet if this will be an added feature. We do appreciate your feedback and will certainly keep this in mind for future updates. Thank you.

Why does this seem to be such a roadblock with you guys?  I mean, honestly, the little screen devices connect  with the lightning detector, why have you been unable/unwilling to mate it with the hub or the Access?  I am to the point of wanting to sell my 5in1 unit and Access to some poor sucker on Ebay and buy something from one of your competitors.
