will 433MHz repeter work with 5in1 ans smart hub

Would the 5in1 and smart hub communicate through this repeater ?  433MHz-RF-Wireless-Repeater-Signal-Amplification-Booster-Learning-Code-Extender

Hmm.... I do not know.

The issue I'm stuck on is the "Support Encoding" line.  I don't know much about the "PT" (Princeton Technology) encoding method and if it can be read by the MICRF211 chip in the SmartHUB.

Assuming it could, there's a piece of information necessary information missing that is needed to configure the repeater device's dip switches, and that's the resistor value after the slash mark in use.  I think it might have something to do with the pulse width of the waveform in use or something like that.  It might take some analysis of the signal to figure out what that value is.  The MICRF211 in the SmartHUB would have to match, too.

Maybe John Z has come across some hints in his read of the data sheets for the radio receiver in the SmartHUB and Access.

I can see why you might find this interesting, given the price on e-Bay, and the stated range.

Having looked over the data sheets for the encoding chips, I see a really big mismatch between how this device encodes, modulates and sends signals, and what AcuRite devices expect to hear. 

This product appears to be intended for boosting the range of simple key-fob remotes and other similar devices. I think it is a complete mismatch to the technical requirements of AcuRite's system. Given its high transmit power, it may even be illegal in the U.S., especially with the transmit duty cycles posed by AcuRite sensors.

I've DM'd George a bit more discussion on this for his opinion. If he finds a reason to add/modify, I'm sure he will.
