I hear it chime, but I don't see anything on any of the displays that tell me why it chimed.

Hello Carol,

What is the model number of your weather station? Is it the 01512 that you have listed on the side? If it is this unit is not able to chime as there are no speakers. We would recommend taking the batteries out and powering down the display to see if you still hear the chime. If you do then that tells us it's something in your house that is chiming. Let us know if there is anything further we can assist you with.

Okay.  I don't think it's anything else.  Nothing else has changed.  But I could be wrong.  One last question.  I ordered this as model number 01512 and that was in the list of products for this inquiry.  But the Instruction Manual that came with it shows model 06016.  Does that make a difference?  I've tried to google the difference between the models, but haven't found much.

Thanks.

Hello Carol,

The 06016 is just the display. The 01512 comes with the display and sensor. So if you are looking at just the display the 06016 is the model number you would see. If you are looking at the package the model number would be 01512 as it comes with a display and sensor. Thank you.

I have a similar issue. I've isolated the cause of the chime to the console USB. I have 06037MA1. If I unplug the USB cable from the PC it stops and that is how I determined it is related to the console. If I get up from my desk it chimes almost every time. It's like there is a sensor that sees me get up. very weird and annoying...

Hello Bert,

Is it possible the chime is coming from your computer? Could it be the sound it makes when you unplug and plug in a USB connection to your computer?

The chime does come from the computer, But nothing is being plugged in or removed. It only happens when the Acu-rite display console is plugged in. Any ideas? Thanks Jennifer

Hello Bert,

I do not know as to why it would chime. I would think it would be something possibly in the computer settings, I just don't know what it would be. I am sorry I don't have further information. I would recommend contacting your computer manufacturer.
