Where did my rainfall go?

Today (1/22/18) we had a nice steady rain from about 8am until 11am.   My 5-1 showed the rainfall and the accumulated rainfall increased normally.  Then about 1:40pm today, it wiped out accumulated rainfall for the day back to zero.  Zero rain is now reflected in the myacurite app and Weather Underground.  I have read of this being a known issue, but the known issue involved the top of the hour, while this was near the bottom of the hour.  What caused this, can it be fixed, and can the rainfall be restored? 24:C8:6E:0A:64:A6, KTNCLARK50

It happened again TODAY (1/27/18).  Another nice, steady rain.  The monitor in my house says it has rained .37 inches today, but myacuriate.com and WU now both have .14, as they have reset the cumulative rain.  After today, the accurate total rainfall will count toward the annual total, but for today, the daily rainfall is messed up.....again .   What is going on here?

Yes, I disconnected it and am instead using the old black Hub.  It seems to NOT reset my accumulated rainfall intraday as the access does.  I am expecting rain for several days so I am going to see if the Hub functions with no resets.  It seems many, many people are having the same issue with the Acurite Access and the rainfall resets.  If the problem does not occur with the Hub, I will just use that until Acurite gets the bugs worked out with the Access and the rainfall reset problem.  The data backup feature is not worth the tradeoff for me.  The Access seems to reset my rainfall FAR more frequently than my power goes out.

Hello Monopweather,

Can you please connect the Access back up as well. You can have both the Access and smartHUB running at the same time. You can have the same sensor attached to both devices.  Please let us know once that is connected, and the next time you get a rainfall reading.

Yes, I will do that tonight.  It's supposed to rain for 12 days straight so we should get a good read on it!  Thanks for your willingness to help.

Hello Monopweather,

That is great to hear. Stay safe out there. Rain for 12 days straight I can't imagine. I am a short girl so I would probably float away. We look forward to your update.
