Hello Tom,

There is no specific time of day that would be good to reset it. High an low records reflect the minimum and maximum temperature recorded since the unit was powered on, since the batteries were changed, or since it was manually reset (whichever was most recent). Please let us know if there is anything further we can assist you with. Have a good day!

Jennifer, on this unit, when does it reset Today's high? Manual says 24-48 hours but I am interested in how exactly the unit does this determination. Thanks so much for your help!

Hello Tom,

You can clear the highs and lows on this unit by pressing and holding the UP or DOWN arrows until you see dashes where the record displays.  Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thank you and Happy New Year!
