Can you tell me what the model # is for this weather station? I recently bought a replacement outdoor sensor #06009RM/606TX as I thought they were universal; now I can't get the unit to work. Thank you!

I can't tell by looking but you should be able to find a model number for the unit somewhere on it. Perhaps look under the base.

In any case, the sensor you bought is a temp only sensor and is not compatible. You need the temp and humidity sensor 592TX / 06002RM. Note the ABC switch in the back battery area. You will need match the code on the sensor and display when you install it.

Send the one you bought back.

And yes, the 2 sensors look identical from the outside, at least on the website. AcuRite does a pretty poor job pointing out the difference. The $9.99 sensor looks like the $12.99 sensor, why not buy the cheaper one. It took me a while to figure out why, and realize the two are incompatible.

Hello Phelps,
The model number of this display is 02048. The model number is located below the display stand.  This display uses sensor model  #: 00592tx, 00592TXR, 06002M, 06002RM, 11126-592TXR. Unfortunately, the sensor you purchased is not compatible. For your convenience, I have provided a link below to the correct replacement. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thank you.
