Is there a way to change the batteries of the remote battery pack (06052) without losing connection between display and 5 in 1?

I have that exact unit sitting in front of me, waiting to be installed.

The included documentation makes no mention of this. However, the product description on Amazon does mention "change batteries without losing sensor data" as well as "dual battery compartment design."

Logic suggests changing the two batteries in one compartment, then change those in the second compartment.

As a practical matter, how long does it take to swap out four batteries from the remote box? A minute? That little bit of lost data will not make any difference. Plus, you already had a 'data loss' when you installed the remote battery holder.

Perhaps I will try the 'battery swap without lost signal' when I get around to installing the remote battery pack. I plan on raising the 5-in-1 sensor up higher as well.

Oh look here...open the cover of the battery compartment and what do we see.....

"For uninterrupted battery power: Replace battery bank 1, then bank 2" Each pair of battery holders is conveniently labelled "Bank 1" or "Bank 2".

It seems pretty straightforward to me.

Hello Bruce and Marshall,
Marshall is correct.  When replacing the batteries in the battery pack of the 5in1 sensor you will need to change the batteries in Bank 1 then in Bank 2 to not lose connection to the display unit. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thank you.
