What is going on with AcuRite Pro weather stations and Wunderground?

So I noticed a few days ago that things were starting to get spotty again with AcuRite Pro weather station data on Wunderground and as usual I wondered about batteries.  Checking MyAcurite the batteries are fine ("normal").  But I just looked at other people's stations around that are labeled as using the same hardware (AcuRite Pro) and they have the same spotty data!

Here they are:

https://www.wunderground.com/personal-weather-station/dashboard?ID=KCACOLTO6

https://www.wunderground.com/personal-weather-station/dashboard?ID=KCALOMAL4

https://www.wunderground.com/personal-weather-station/dashboard?ID=KCALOMAL5

I don't know the other people, but they are having exactly the same problem at the same time.  So is the AcuRite data server and screwing up central command messing things up again or what?!

(Of course it is raining for the first time in forever and things don't work. . . .)

Checking it still (and other people's) things still aren't working right in the "sharing your data" department. . . .  The problem just started 3 days ago or so and is just getting worse.

Data are found in a continuous stream when logging into MyAcuRite.com, but things aren't getting to Wunderground consistently.  LOTS of people's stations are no longer visible at Wunderground.

I have the 09150M internet bridge with the 01036M weather center. My console seems to work perfectly. It’s still in learning mode. It was a Christmas gift. I’m established on weather Underground but the temperature and dew point data is intermittent. The “MyAcuRite app works perfectly which leads me to believe that AcuRite is receiving all my data with no packets missing but WU is either not receiving solid data or they are having problems on their end. I have chatted with 2 other members and they sort of convinced me that the problem is with WU. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated! I’ve uploaded one image from WU depicting temperature and dew point data loss.

All has been quite stable on my system since WU corrected their data missing issue.

I think the problem is with WU. I use a Meteobridge and the updates are scattered at times.

There's no question that wunderground is having serious issues.  I think it's been about a week now since things started to really go south.

There's been no news today that I've seen coming out of wunderground.  They seem running radio silent.

The author of Metobridge/Weatherbridge recently posted his findings, though.  It looks as though wunderground is seriously shedding rapid-fire input.

There doesn't seem much anyone outside wunderground can do but sit and wait.  :(

I'd have to agree, I noticed this started a few days ago and it has only gotten worse as the days pass. Here is mine... notice the breaks in the Temp and Dew Points, not to mention the wind gust considering that I have only had 10 to 20 mph winds today!! I don't think any structure would stand a chance at the gust that my station is reporting online.

I am having the same issue and just submitted a ticket to Weather Underground. I have two stations, one Davis Vantage Pro2, and the other AcuRite 5-in-1 with webcams attached to both, and both stations and webcams are on and off line the past couple weeks. It doesn't seem to be specific to AcuRite, because my Davis station is doing the same, and I never had issues with the Davis.
The Davis is uploading to WeatherLink fine, so it seems to be a WU issue.
These are my stations.

I've noticed the same thing. The Acurite site logs ,y data every five minutes but wunderground is very eratic or says there is not data. I kust checked the Aurite site amd it report about five minutes ago. Wunderground has no data for the last three hours.

The deep issue is Wunderground has no direct competitor that offers what they used to have that worked very well. A live Wundermap, where all stations would update on it as fast as the wind data would be forwarded from ones reporting station in rabid fire. Also rabid fire dashboards with webcams. Nobody else does this, and right now, not even Wunderground can do it like they once did. Unless there is a site to upload to like this, there will be no point in uploading your station data to the web any faster than 5 minutes.

I think when IBM bought The Weather Channel/Weather Underground the WU website changed. Once upon a time the WU website would auto update that no longer happens and the up time seems to have regular issues. Maybe the bean counters saw the cost and dialed the resources back.

Either W.U. has been hacked or they are trying to change the "look" of their site and are in a "Beta" stage working out bugs. Among other things I am unable to change the "Status" of my site and my camera and station are showing up intermittently  https://www.wunderground.com/personal-weather-station/dashboard?ID=KNJRIDGE7#history

When I download data from the Acurite Cloud there is lots of missing temp and humidity data points, so WU may be having a problem but so is Acurite or whoever manages their cloud.

Very interesting data. Response time has been creeping up for months, and went through the roof the last few days. Ugh.

Got my first PWS for Christmas. Brand new to this. I have a five in one sensor, HD display and smart hub. Everything working fine with MyAcuRite. Registered with weather underground – station not reporting. Safe to assume this is related to the larger weather underground problem? Can anyone point me to basic troubleshooting to make sure it’s not my error?

If you know the IP number assigned to your SmartHUB, open that number in a web browser.

You should get a web page showing some information about your SmartHUB setup.

Check to see if the the wunderground station ID and station key (password) are appropriate.

If those fields are NOT filled in with the correct info, there's probably an issue on your side.

If those fields hold the correct info, then the problem is likely due to the current wunderground issues.

Emily - I got mine for Christmas too and am having the same issue.  Everything is reporting fine to Acurite and my app but not to WU.  I did confirm on WU that my station ID and password are correct.  I did send an e-mail regarding the issue to WU.  Hopefully I will hear soon.

Davis sent out an email this evening about the wunderground issues.  Apparently they've been told by "The Weather Channel" (operator of wunderground) that the "temporary performance problem" should be resolved in "next couple of days".

Ugh.

Gaps....Gaps....Gaps....

Every year this seems to happen just after Christmas. I am no expert. (but I like to think I am, lol) But if I had to wager this is partly due to everyone opening their awesome Wx Station Christmas presents and getting them online. Whether Acurite and/or Wunderground, both I am sure are experiencing a larger increased volume of traffic due in-part to all our newly added devices. If my memory serves me correctly this happened last year about the same time (less the AWS Cloud issue).

"the performance problem" will likely be rectified with additional hardware and upgrades to adequately handle the overload.

Just a theory....

See attached - first instance, I am showing of gaps was 12/27/17, and only getting worse each day.

Guess I'll add my voice to the chorus.  My Wunderground data has gone from spotty over the past several days to non existent (see attachment showing data stopped completely Jan 9th).  I've done the recommended reboot (twice) with no change.  Adding insult to injury, we just had our first significant storm in months.  At least the MyAcuRite site is working properly so the charts/data aren't lost.

No need to do anything with your Acurite equipment.  It is a Wunderground issue affecting all users.

Curiously, about the same time I posted, saying MyAccurite was working properly, it went down and has been offline for six hours now.  It'll be interesting to learn the actual cause once this outage is over.  Meanwhile a PWS near me running a 5in1 appears to be online with WeatherUnderground with no data loss.

Good Morning All, I am providing a link to the WU equivalent of this Accurite forum. It pretty much explains what has transpired in the last week. This is currently a WU problem, For those who are trying to set up their new stations, I suggest waiting until the dust settles to attempt registering with WU. Under the current circumstances, it will be almost impossible to know if you are successful, and you will likely think your hardware and/or software is at fault. For now, the ball is in their court. I'm having the same spotty data issues with Wunderground.com for the past week myself also. I'm here in Wilkes Barre Pa. Is this happening all over the country?

WU must have major issues. They presented what appears to be reliable graph data from around 9 am EST to about 4 pm EST today. I just checked the graph data around 4:45 pm EST and all the data from around 12:00 noon EST thru 4:45 pm EST is missing! My observation.
