Weather Station model 02086/1440601 Sensor stopped working.

The remote sensor stopped working after about 6 months of use.  I noticed for a couple of days the temperature readout had frozen at 4 degrees C.  Brought it inside, removed the batteries overnight and then went through the instructions for replacing the batteries (yes, brand new Duracell batteries, sensor first, away from any other electronics, plus tried in multiple locations).   The outside sensor was installed under cover, so it was not exposed to direct sunlight or rain.  I received this as a gift, it was purchased at Costco here in London, Ontario around September/October.  Very disappointed, the remote sensor has always been the weak point for Acurite products I've owned.

Hello Brett,

Thank you for performing the recommended troubleshooting. Did you try another channel with the A-b-c switch in the battery compartment. If so and that did not correct this issue please contact our AcuRite Loyalty Team at 262-249-3259 as this Weather station does have a 1 year warranty. Thank you.

Perfect, thank you.  I just finished on the telephone with them and a replacement sensor is in progress.
