I have the professional weather center 01536/8900123. Will the current color display pair to the 5n1 or the new AcuRite Access device? Will all functions still display i see on the display remain? Can i change access to weather now with the new device id without impacting my data?

John the display and the Access unit are both receivers and do not interact at all. Everything the display does now it will continue to do. The Access unit will allow you to see your station online on computers and smartphones from anywhere you have internet. You can share with Myacurite and weather underground.

Thanks Ledrak.  Thus if i understand, i will see all today on the display as it will continue to access the 5x1.  However I can remove the USB to PC cable that allows me to upload my station information via the Accurite PC Connect application.  The AcuRite Access device will do that for me now.  Thanks for the help.

Ledrak, thanks for the details, it makes much more sense now.  Maybe they should hire you to do their documentation...

Hi Jennifer;  all is installed and working great with my 5n1.  Question;  the Acurite Access is using a lot of my bandwidth;  is there a way to change from the 36 second 5n1 transmission rate, as "access" transmits this rate", to something less, like every 12 minutes?  This is an option with the PC Connect software.

Hello John,
We are happy to hear you are up and running.  The update intervals on the 5in1 or My AcuRite cannot be adjusted at this time.  PC Connect does not allow you to adjust the update speed but the update interval on the CSV file.  Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thank you.
