Does Acu-rite have software available to view historical data transferred from my Model 06037MA1 unit? I have the PC Connect software installed but the computer is not always on so I have been manually transferring the data but I can't see anyway to view this data.

Hello Trey,

The display will store 2 weeks worth of data before it needs to be transferred to your computer. Once you transfer it to your computer it will save as a CSV file. The file would be saved in whatever location you set up on the PC Connect software under Change location where file is saved. to the right it will say choose location. If you click there it will tell you where the file is saving each time the data is transferred.  You can change the file extension to reflect excel or another program that will read it if you have it on your computer.

I know where the files are being saved. So AcuRite does not have a software program that presents the saved data in a graphical way to view the historical data (i.e. how much has it rained in the last week, month, or year). Does AcuRite recommend any outside program to read it's historical data? Thanks

Thanks, I downloaded and installed VIS yesterday. I looked over it quickly, yet I still need to read the material and try to understand it. I'll stay on this, a little every day, until I understand it better, .I am trying! This is the time of year I start my Spring work planning, my to do list and scheduling dates for contractor work I have the money to do this year. The current .csv data is not that extensive in my case so I'll just continue to save it into a file on that computer. Maybe one day it can be useful. At least we are starting ASAP. Not there today but very soon. Thanks for your help, I'm sure I'll have more guestion as I progress in my learning curve.

Hello Dale,
We do apologize for any misinformation that has been provided to you. As you are aware of now, the PC Connect display does not create graphs or charts by itself. If you have the display connected via PC Connect, the My AcuRite platform will provide you with graphs.  I understand you wanted a stand alone and this was not what you had been expecting. We cannot comment or recommend to use a third party software because we are not able to support third party software such as VIS Reader.  We are happy to assist you with the station or with a return if this is what you have decided. We do have a 90 day return policy if bought from AcuRite.com directly.

Thank you, I have downloaded and installed VIS Reader and I am waiting for my Registration approval to be able to access all their services. So far it is looking like this might work for me. Please allow me a few weeks to evaluate this third party software program to see if it meets my needs. I may still want to return the unit, yet at this time VIS might do what I need it to do. I wish you could have told me about VIS Reader and the fact that you don't support them. At least then I would have known about a possible solution. If it works as I think it might, I'll keep mu AcuRite product. It is a nice unit that meets my needs, other than for an integrated software program. VIS just might suit my needs and I can use their customer support for any software questions. I'll get back to you by March 1, 2018 and inform you of my decision. This time frame may be just outside my 90 day trial offer and I hope you will kindly extend it for me?

Hello Dale,
I was not able to locate an order for you in our system. When and where was your unit purchased? We can only offer a return if the product was purchased from AcuRite directly.

Thank you, I purchased it directly from AcuRite. I am seein if VIS Reader will work for me, along with what AcuRite has to offer already. At this time it appears that VIS Reader may work for me. I don't know why AcuRite hasn't created an amicable relationship with the VIS Reader people because that would be a great marketing PR move, yet you won't/don't have that relationship, yet. your competitors are putting bundled software/hardware packages for sale and I see AcuRite losing market share over what seems to  e a amicable solution. I like my AcuRite system because of its simplicity to install and setup, and you have Internet solutions also. Rural America still has Metered Internet for the most part and it is probably this segment of society that uses more of your type of units rather than Urban users? I hope you can extend my return date by 30 days, since it took me this long to find a possible solution that your Representative told me already came with the unit I purchased. I will probably keep your unit for several good reasons and I'll try to use your Internet Services, as I can and the VIS Reader software Program. Thanks again for understanding my situation. If you will willing extend your "offer to return" for another 30 days, I will be very grateful and praise your efforts to make a customer reasonably happy. I understand that I have a somewhat unique situation and I am grateful for your efforts in this matter. If you can't extend my particular "offer to return" one option I have is to return it, and then buy it again for another 90 day "offer to return" and that will create a lot of possibly needless paperwork for your company and that is why I would prefer a 30 day extension instead of a return & repurchase. I look forward to your reply and cooperation in my situation. thanks again ahead of time.   Lawrence Dale Townsend (p.s. you do have a nice unit for us everyday people)

Elon Musk and Tesla have just installed a huge array of batteries in South Australia as a test. South Australia doesn’t generate any of its own electricity and so relies on supply from nearby states like Victoria and NSW. A year or two ago the whole state was blacked out for hours. And with our government so hell bent on pushing coal as the resource of the future for Australia, Solar and Wind are looked upon as almost unsustainable resources. Needless to say good old Elon Musk has upped the ante and actually done something to prove them wrong.

Hello Craig,
We are very sorry for any confusion with your product.  As you know now, the display does need to be connected to your computer at all times to view graphs.  We cannot comment or recommend to use a third party software because we are not able to support third party software such as VIS Reader.  We are happy to assist you with your station however, we do not offer what you are looking for at this time. We will certainly keep your request in mind for possible future products. Thank you.
