very confused: Internet Bridge vs. SmartHUB vs. Access?

I have been using an AcuLink Internet Bridge (looks like an overgrown flip-phone) for remote temperature monitoring (single sensor) via the MyAcuRite app.  I do not know what a SmartHUB or an Access is, if they are even different from the Bridge. I am not a weather enthusiast, just want to know if my pipes are in danger of freezing while I am on the road in the winter!

My main question is, will my current configuration continue to work after the August 31 transition? Please respond in non-technical English if possible. Thanks.

Under the current plan, you would need to replace your device with the new Access in order for things to continue working.

You can get a discount code for the Access here: http://go.acurite.com/request-an-acurite-access-upgrade-code

Hello Andy,

Your AcuLink internet bridge is the smartHUB.  We changed the name of the product when we transitioned from using the AcuLink platform to the My AcuRite platform.  To continue your service you would need to upgrade to the AcuRite Access. George provided the link to receive a discount code. You would get the AcuRite Access for $39.99 plus shipping and handling once you receive the discount code. The code is also valid on bundle packages that have the AcuRite Access in them. Please let us know if there is anything we can assist you with.
