Thermometer accuracy. Hi Im ,looking to purchase a 5 in 1 system through my local Costco store in Australia. I was wondering how accurate the temp reading would be if the outdoor thermometer is locate in the one unit that is required to be located in the open in full sun as outdoor temps are usually measured in shade. Previous units I have had have the temp gauge separate & I have located in a shade area, problem I see with this unit if placing in shade then I wont get a accurate rain reading. Does the thermometer adjust for open sun?

The outdoor sensor has an internal aspirating fan which keeps temperature from the sun building up inside the outdoor sensor.

Jimmy is correct, the 5-in-1 sensor has an internal aspirating fan that draws outside air across the temperature and humidity sensor.  This allows the unit to read the correct outdoor air temperature and humidity.  That unit is specifically designed to be placed out in the open for the most accurate sensor readings.

Have a great day!
