Temperature sensor keeps disconnecting

I thought I finally got my outdoor temperature sensor to work, and it did for a few days.  I positioned the bridge so that the signal only needed to go through a double pane window and the clear side of my greenhouse.  The distance is 97 feet.  Today, the sensor disconnected, so I went out and replaced the batteries, putting in new lithium batteries.  It took awhile, but it connected again for a little while, but has disconnected again. The only things, besides the window and greenhouse plastic side are a few branches of trees, but sighting between them, there is almost a clear line of site.  I could use any suggestions at this point.

Hi Baysailor,

Please bring the sensor next to the bridge. Remove the batteries for about 5 minutes. Put the batteries back in the sensor. Wait for it to update on Acu-Link by checking the time stamp. Once it updates you can put the sensor back where it belongs. We recommend using Lithium batteries when the temperatures are -4F or colder where you live. I would recommend using a standard alkaline such as Rayovac, Duracell, or Energizer in the sensor. Nothing heavy duty or Max. Nothing generic or store brand either.
