Stop hub from reporting to WeatherUnderground

How do I stop a hub from sending data to WeatherUnderground?  I was using a hub for a number of years, and then took it out of service back in November.

It has landed with a new owner (in a different state), however it's still updating my WeatherUnderground station (from a different geography than what my station is actually registered for).  I went into MyAcuRite, and deleted the hub from my account, but this hasn't helped - it's still sending RapidFire updates to my WeatherUnderground station.
In hindsight, maybe I should have removed the WeatherUnderground information before deleting the hub from my account, as it may have pushed something down to the hub to stop it from updating my station...

Please help.

If you just want to get rid of it go to your WU page and sign in . Then go to My Profile / Member Settings / Delete account .

I'd like to keep my WU weather station if I can...seems crazy that it's still sending data even though it's no longer in MyAcuRite.com account...

It takes a while for it to settle... BUT did the new owner take control of the device ID (MAC)?
Your MyAcurite may no longer be able to change the actual device config.  You are now, just a shared user of that device.

If its a old Smart hub then it will go offline in late Aug . Also have you tried just changing your password ? After it take effect then your station should just show offline after 10 to 15 minutes .

Changing my station password in Weather Underground?   I can't see anywhere that I can do that on their website.

I deleted the hub from MyAcuRite.com profile, which is where I'm guessing I should have invalidated the password first prior to deleting the device...

I reset my profile password, but I don't think that has anything to do with the Station password.  Each station has an auto-assigned password that WU generates.  I thought that MyAcuRite.com used the latter password, which I can't seem to find a way to reset...

Your right I forgot about the station key part that WU generates . So the only thing can say is leave it up there and if you want sign up for a new account if you want to transmit to WU . You can also use the EDIT feature and move that old station of your to another area . Either way you will still need a new station if you want to transmit to WU .

Hello DW,

We are very sorry for any inconvenience you have experienced.  The owner of the smartHUB will need to access the splash page to remove the Weather Underground credentials.  I have provided the directions to access the splash page below. Once this is open they can click the box next to Weather Underground information and erase all the credentials listed. Once this is done, press 'Go' button.  this will restart the HUB and save the changes. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thank you.

1. Open a web browser (Internet Explorer, Chrome, Safari, etc.).
2. Enter your router address in the URL bar. The default address for many routers is 192.168.1.1 --once you have entered this, press Enter on your keyboard. (If this is not your default address, consult your router's manual for the correct address.)
3. Most routers are different. Look for something similar to "DHCP List" or "Client List". These lists should contain the Device ID addresses and assigned IP addresses to any devices connected to your router.
4. Locate the Device ID address that matches your smartHUB's Device ID address exactly. This address will always start with 24:C8:6E
5. Next to the smartHUB's Device ID address, you should see the assigned IP address. Write this IP address down.
6. In your web browser's URL bar, now enter the IP address assigned to your smartHUB, then press Enter on your keyboard.
