Station not reporting to Weather Underground with Hub

MyAcurite shows my station with data, WU states it has been offline since Dec 27,2016.  Had problems with migration back in Sept,  Sent hub to be re-flashed. All worked good when I plugged it back in.  Started having issues in Nov with station going offline for days.  Started to lose followers on my station.  Purchased a new hub from Acurite. Made all the changes with MAC address all  seemed to be ready to share with the world.  But never went online, as far as WU reporting.  We all have been patient during this time of migration.  I even purchased a new hub to try to get station to come back online.  Now it's Jan 13,2017, I have lost all my followers on my station.  Not very happy or satisfied with the progress Acurite has shown to get back to a stable platform that can be relied on.  What's going on?

Similar experience with my new Weather Station.  At home the system operates fine. However disconnects and reconnects spontaneously with wunderground almost daily -- (PC is "do not sleep", no network px,  etc.)

Hello Giovangee,

We show you are currently offline on My AcuRite. We can see that you have your Weather Underground credentials entered on My AcuRite. If you are using the Pc Connect software the Weather Underground credentials need to be entered on there to get it transmitting. Can you please send a screen shot of what your Pc Connect software currently shows? What model number display do you have?

02032C ___ I can quickly connect to wunderground if I unclick SHARE and then reconnect to SHARE and my data uploads to that site.  BUT the damn thing will disconnect spontaneous after an hour or so. The display and sensor 5-1-1 seem to work perfectly at my house all the time.

Hello Jeff,

Who is your Internet Service Provider? Please go in and take out your Weather Underground credentials on My AcuRite.  Type them back in, please do not copy and paste them.  Give it a couple of minutes to see if it starts transmitting to Weather Underground. If it does not then go to your devices and change the address in your devices profile.  Give it about 5-10 minutes to push the information, and see if Weather Underground updates.  Please let us know if you continue to have a problem.

The service provider is Hughes Network.  No wired service providers serve this area
I use the smart hub 0915M
I did remove the sharing device and re add.  

In the below picture the dashboard shows data

These values correspond to the display on the wall.

Hello Jeff,

Please remove your station ID and password and enter your station ID and station key. This has been successful for some users. If that doesn't correct the problem, please go to your devices and change the address that is entered. Change to an address other than what it is, wait about 10 minutes and see if it pushes the readings to Wunderground. If it does you can change the address back to the correct address. If this doesn't correct the problem let us know.

Jennifer, thank you for the "change the address" tip.  That seems to have fixed things for me.  I had previously (for a week) had my 5-in-1 weather station connected through the display unit's USB cable to my laptop, but I can't leave my laptop on all the time, so I ordered a smartHub.  I plugged it in, things connected OK, I added it to MyAcurite, and could see that the data was automatically transferring online.  But the sharing to WU wasn't working, despite repeated attempts to remove and add the station ID and key.  But changing the address seemed to do it.

for months i have had no issues with pc  connect sending info to weather underground but for some reason out of the clear blue for the last 3 days my station stops reporting to weather underground and does this 2-4 times atleast a day so i have to restart the pc then 3 or 4 hours later it does it again any help would be appreciated

Hello Wendell,

Please try to remove your Weather Underground credentials from My AcuRite completely and read them.  Please DO NOT COPY AND PASTE THE CREDENTIALS.  Use your Station Key as the password instead of your password for Weather Underground.  Let us know if this issue continues. Jeff,

If you are trying to send weather information to Weather Underground over a satellite link, you will need to purchase hardware from a company other than AcuRIte. With the recent "upgrades" AcuRite has chosen to disable users abilitiy to use satellite connections. They claim they intend to fix the problem but I see no evidence of this.

If you are using satellite, forget all fhe nonsense about not cutting and pasting or about using all caps. That isn't your problem. The recent "upgrade" has made your equipment useless.

Aha!., So scroll down in this thread and see my screenshot of the HUB internal web page. It shows how the data fields are populated. Notice that everything regarding Wunderground is blank, even though I have been through the setup process more than once.

Hello Jon,

That is correct. There is something with Exede that does not allow the reading to go through. This is why we asked for their help so we can narrow down the problem, and adjust our software so that it can transmit to Weather Underground. They have been unresponsive in assisting us with this.

@Jennifer, is there a way I can populate those fields in the hub manually, or with a temporary alternate internet connection?

As of right now the only way to get the information to transmit would be to have a different internet provider.

My 5-in-1 has not worked correctly with wunderground since I got the unit three weeks ago. Continuous connects and disconnects. The info about changing IDs, reregistering, rebooting, etc. only works IF you unclick SHARE and then RECLICK SHARE--- Acurite refuses to automatically connect......  this is really a problem.

Hello Giovangee,

We can see that you are currently transmitting to Weather Underground. Please check your Weather Underground account. To keep this connected the display would need to be plugged into the computer at all times, and the Pc Connect software would need to be running, and the computer would need to be online and running at all times. If for some reason any one of these things stops transmission to My AcuRite and Weather Underground will stop.  Thank you.

I have Dish Network.  No reporting to WU the last 18 hours.  I've done everything suggested except enter station key instead of WU password.  Where is the station key located?  Do the firmware updates happen automatically?

Click on My PWS in the upper right corner of your Weather Underground home page.  That will show both your station ID and the "key."

This has just started happening to me. Myacurite shows current data but for the past 2.5 hours the data is not being reported to WU. I deleted the sharing information and reentered the station ID and station key lets see what happens. Incidentally in the past I was using my WU password not station key.... Which one should be used?

Hello Mike,

We can see that you are transmitting to Weather Underground.  Please check your Weather Underground account. We have found some customers it works with their station ID and password, and some it works with station ID and passkey so we would recommend trying both. Thank you.

Hi,
Mike here (Wunderground station ID: KARJONES21) in NE Arkansas.  My data is reporting to myacurite and hasn't really stopped the last 12 hours but it is not reporting to wunderground.  I have power cycled both the router and station several times and reoriented the antenna.  I am thinking since several of the stations around my area haven't reported in hours that this is on Weather Underground's end.  Also I have it set up so they e-mail me if it hasn't reported in 2 hours or more and they haven't notified me  so almost certain they are aware of the problem.  Have a great day and thanks in advance-Mike

I was seeing similar behavior with my setup. Never received any "not reporting" emails, etc. Re-entered my WU password in the AcuRite sharing tab and WU started working again.

Just noticed that my iOS WU app can't get my station's data, but I can access it from a web browser (I get the "Location data currently unavailable" error). Weird.

Well, I did the same thing and nothing but it is working fine now.  I'd wager it was probably a server issue.  Thanks Front Ranger for your help.  Thanks to Wunderground and Acurite for always responding quickly to any question or issue I have ever had.  The only issue I have now is my status message I typed says it isn't reporting but it is.  I can delete the text in the box but refresh my browser and it pops back up.  Anyway....No biggie.  Thanks again and have a great day!

I am having the exact same issue as the original poster. My hub was bricked during the upgrade and I was sent a new one. I am able to see my data with the iPad app, however WU has been offline since November. This thread gave me a new clue to the problem. I am using Exede / Wildblue satellite for internet.

Couldn't this be a simple as Excede blocking a port?

More info about the failure to connect to Weather Underground. This is a screen shot of the data provided by the internal web server in the hub. It raises several questions.
1. Why are all the fields for Wunderground BLANK? I have provided that data during the sign up process.
2. I have the Acurite 5 in One system. Why does the hub say no 5 in 1 devices detected. Yet it reports 3 "tower" sensors?
For anyone else that wants to see this data on their hub, there is an app called FING for the iPhone/IPad. It identifies every device on your wifi network. It will identify the hub as Chaney Instruments. Point your browser to the IP address.

After clicking the reboot button, the hub is now detecting my 5 in 1 correctly.
