New SmartHUB 09150M will not register with the AcuRite servers.  When the network light is lit it does not see the 5 in 1 but when the network light goes off it sees the 5 in 1. this repeats about every 45 seconds. Light on -no 5 in 1, light off 5 in 1 appears.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Tim,

Is the smartHUB directly plugged into the router? Have you tried another Ethernet port or cable? What are you lights currently doing? Are you receiving a green and amber light in the back? Is the network status light occasionally flashing? Is the sensor status light solid? Where is your closest sensor? How many sensors do you have? Thank you.

No, it's plugged into a switch going through a firewall.  I tried different cables and the Ehternet link light (green) is lit and the Ethernet traffic light (amber) is blinking.  you saw in the picture that it sees the 5in1 when the Blue network light is off and doesn't see when its on.  It repeates this every 45 seconds or so.  The sensor status light is solid blue. it's about 45 to 50 feet to the 5in1.

This is in a business not a home. If it is trying to use a port other then port 80 I'll need to know what port its using

Using wireshark I don't see any traffic coming from the Smarthub trying to connect to AcuRite servers

Hello Tim,

Are you able to take the smartHUB and plug it directly into the router to see if it is able to maintain a connection?  We do recommend the smartHUB be plugged directly into the router.

That will be impossible.  The core router is in a building about 2 miles away, again the 5in1 and smarthub are located in a business not in a home

Hello Tim,

The switch you are using is it a Gigabit switch or half duplex?

It's a Cisco Gigabit switch with auto negotiation configured on the port the SmartHUB is plugged in to.  I don't have access to the switch right now so I don't know what speed and duplex (half or full) was negotiated.

The port the smartHub is connected was negotiated as follows,

Half-duplex, 10Mb/s, media type is 10/100/1000BaseTX
input flow-control is off, output flow-control is unsupported

Hello Tim,

We would need you to plug it directly into a router to see if you are able to get it to transmit. This will help us determine if it is a network issue or a smartHUB issue. We understand that you are not able to plug it in at your business. If you are able to take it to your residence and plug it directly into the back of the router to see if you are able to get it transmitting. Thank you.
