I am adding yet another voice to the chorus of people having trouble with their SmartHubs. I purchased my Acurite 01057RM through Amazon and received it on Dec. 3, 2016. The SmartHub bridge has been working fairly well all this time until this weekend, when it stopped reporting to WU. I powercycled my modem, router and hub, and checked all connections and tried it again. The lights behaved normally. The Sensor Status light was solid, and the Network Status light flashed in a timely manner. I waited hours to see if WU picked up and they did briefly, but it quickly went offline again. This time, I uninstalled the hub completely from the dashboard, powercycled the router, and attempted to reinstall the hub, but instead of being able to complete the process I got the message "Device must be connected and reporting data to claim it. Please make sure the device is connected to your router and the status lights are blinking." Again, the Sensor Status light was a solid blue, and the Network Status light was solid blue but blinking normally for a second, but I couldn't get past this error message. I tried everything all over again from the beginning, and now the yellow and green lights where the ethernet plugs in are on and acting normally, but the Network and Sensor Status lights won't come on. I'm getting pretty frustrated and feeling discouraged after reading all the other similar complaints on this forum, and don't wish to spend an hour on a tech support call that goes nowhere. Can anyone give me some helpful advice other than throwing it in the trash and writing it off as a waste of money?
