New setup did as it said waited till light not flashing to activate push button on smarthub then light went out and not come back on.
I had this same problem. Acurite doesn't explain this at all in the troubleshooting section or anywhere else in the manual. I called and was on hold for nearly an hour but they finally picked up and told me the same thing - I was actually streaming data but didn't know it because both blue lights were off, so I assumed the thing was non-op. You can always tell if you're online by looking at the green and amber lights on the Ethernet port of the hub - if they are on and the amber (the link) is blinking, then that means you're communicating with the router fine.
