John first question is the hub working if so you don't need the lights. If you want the lights back on if you push and hold the activation button for 10 - 15 second the light should come back on.

Hello John,

We can see that you are transmitting online. If you hold the register/activate button for 10 seconds it will toggle the blue lights on and off. Please let us know if there is anything we can assist you with.

I had this same problem. Acurite doesn't explain this at all in the troubleshooting section or anywhere else in the manual. I called and was on hold for nearly an hour but they finally picked up and told me the same thing - I was actually streaming data but didn't know it because both blue lights were off, so I assumed the thing was non-op. You can always tell if you're online by looking at the green and amber lights on the Ethernet port of the hub - if they are on and the amber (the link) is blinking, then that means you're communicating with the router fine.
