Shouldn't Access take over for my PC?

I've just set up the acuRite access and disconnected my 5 in 1 weather station from my PC. Weather underground says I'm no longer sending data. Shouldn't the Access take over for my PC?

CW  you are correct but it has to do with how you change  look here   https://kbase.myacurite.com/web/content/devices/replace-device.htm?TocPath=Devices|Manage%20your%20A... when you change you need to re enter your WU info.

Hmm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I can't delete my old entry in weather undrerground so I created a new one and put that info inplace of my acurite device info but neither is transmitting data to weather underground. How do you check that Access is actually working and sending the data. My 5 in 1 display seems to be getting the info from the wether station ok. without the PC connected it's hard to tell what's happening.

CW I don't use PC connect so some of your change is different from mine but let me take a stab at it  have you / do you have a Myacurite account dashboard? did you follow the replacement directions from the post above?

yes I have the dash board but the info it shows does not match my display console. I think I followed the above but it says " My AcuRite automatically removes the existing device's Weather Underground Sharing Profile from your My AcuRiteaccount. No action is required to be completed in your Weather Underground account." and I didn't see anything automatically disappear. I added a new station to my weather underground and used it's info to update myacurite. Weather underground list both of my entries (it won't let me delete the original because it's received data from it) but both of them show no reporting.

I think a big problem is terminology, you don't do anything in weather underground but you do on your dashboard for underground sharing.  Ok from your dash go to settings / devices.  Do you see your Access unit under connections?  Then farther down you should see your sensor listed.

Not your 5 in 1 your Access it should be listed under settings / devices  connections.  Your 5 in 1 should be farther  down the page under my sensors. If this is good we move on to Share weather.

OK there is a listing there and on the right there's a picture of something and it's labled Hub. Is that the access or what's left over from my original connection? Thanks for all your help Ledrak!

Didn't realize registering meant adding another device to myacurite. Guess I thought it was going to do it on it's own. Instructions seemed a bit vague. So now I think my dashboard is showing my 5 in 1 readings. Underground weather still not getting anything. Tried adding a new entry there as well still not receiving any data. the only way it seems to get updates is if I connect back up to the PC. Any more ideas?

You can't have 2 devices registered to a SINGLE WU ID.  Remove your PC from Sharing to WU , Add your Access and make sure the correct sensor is shared (might not have a choice if only 1 sensor)

CW glad to see you got it going, sorry but things got a little crazy here in the north east this past weekend. Good luck with your new Access enjoy.
