Second device connects to already installed model

I purchased a second thermometer/humidity device, model 00611A3. It syncs immediately to the 'outside' device that I have in the crawlspace and although the new device is transmitting it is being ignored. I have tried putting the two new parts next to each other and also putting the 'outdoor' piece outside but no luck. in all cases I have given them several hours to connect.

Hello Tim,

If both your thermometers are the same model number they will interfere with each other. The display will pick up the strongest sensor signal and transmit that information. This means you may see the same readings on both displays. If you want to use multiple units in the home we would recommend a thermometer that has an A-B-C switch in the display and sensor. This way you can put them on different channels, and they will not interfere with each other. We have attached a product that has the A-B-C channel.  Thank you. Enjoy your day!
