I have the High Def Color Weather Station Display (Model 06058).  How long do I need to unplug it to restart the Learning Mode?

normally only a couple of minutes.  5 /10 should be more than enough.

So unplugging the display for 5-10 seconds would NOT restart the Learning Mode?  I had to unplug the display for that long to move the plug to a new outlet.

The reason I'm asking is that this display does not have battery backup and the Leraning Mode icon is not displayed on the unit (even when it is in Learning Mode).

Thanks.

I don't think 5 / 10 seconds would do it but its an electronic device it might. look at how many times the power blinks and you have to go around the house and reset all the clocks.

I'm hoping that someone from Acurite will clarify this.  Because the display does not show an icon when it is in Learning Mode, it is absolutely impossible to know if it is in Learning Mode, if Learning Mode has been restarted, etc.

Hello Gary,

If the display is typically unplugged for a minute it will restart the learning mode. If you are wanting to restart the learning mode we would recommend keeping it unplugged for 2-3 minutes.  There is no learning mode icon on the display for this specific model.
