I am ready to replace my hub with my new access but do not want to have to create a new account. Are there instructions somewhere on how to do this. I've done numerous searches through this board and only see how to start a with a new account. I'd appreciate any direction from AcuRite or the community. Thanks!

There are so many problems with Access that I would try another system other than Acurite.  I have had nothing but problems after I went to Access,  signal lost, not reading sensors etc.  Just food for thought.  Read the many posts with the same problems.

The replacement is pretty easy. I deleted the devices and the hub from my account and when the new units arrived, just entered them back into my account. I did not even attempt the replace device option in my account. I would stick with the hub for now as there are issues with the new Access hub. In my case, the rainfall data is incorrect. It is reading way more on My Acurite and WU when compared to my indoor weather station connected to the 5 in one.

dspin  you do not have to create a new account here are the directions from Acurite to replace a smarthub with a Access.  https://kbase.myacurite.com/web/content/devices/replace-device.htm  a couple of tips  if you have room connect your Access unit to an open port on your router at the same time that your smarthub is still working.  Once powered up the blue light on the Access may go solid very fast, I let mine run for a half hour before doing anything.

You do not have to start a new account (either myAcurite or wunderground).

If you are worried about having problems, I wouldn't use the "replace" option.  Just leave the existing SmartHUB as it is and add the new Access.  You can run them in parallel, each reading the same sensors.

Just be careful to name everything with good names so that you don't get yourself confused.

Also, you will have to turn off wunderground sharing on your existing SmartHUB before having your Access use your existing wunderground account.

I hope that doesn't sound too confusing...

Hate to sound like an idiot, but what information do I need to do the replace? I know my station id and station key, but I'm darned if I remember my password. Only used it once. Running them parallel for now to see how I like the Access, Hoping it is as reliable as my smartHub has been for 3 months. Would still have liked to see the discount code extended till the EOL of smartHub, what with all the issues I have read here, but c'est la vie. Initial setup was a breeze on the Access, and connectivity to my one "iffy" sensor is much improved. All in all, a really nice start with the new piece. A little praise is in order here, in that my order was received in 6 days using the cheapest shipping option. Ordered on a Friday afternoon, so processing likely didn't occur until Monday am, yielding 3 days in transit. Nice!

The wunderground information you need is your "station ID" and either your "station key" or "password".

The "station key" is a special "password" that wunderground provides you on your "My Weatherstations" page.

The "password" is the same as your wunderground account user password.  However, many feel this lacks security since it is part of your private information.  Instead, they would prefer you use the "station key".

Then following the directions you go to your dashboard, settings / devices connections and there is the replace button.   If you share with weather underground you will need to set up your sharing again for the Access but again you do not need a new account.  good luck it works I have done a couple of them .

I would second the advice to run the Access in parallel with your existing SmartHub for awhile just to make sure everything works correctly.

Restarting with new hardware but old my AcuRite and Weather Underground accounts,
here are issues that others may also encounter:

1) support.acurite.com dislikes my Chrome browser on both Mac and Windows.
    Specifically, it does not recognize that I have logged in.
   This may be a Chrome extension or setting thing:
   * Disable HTML5 AutoPlay?
   * Protect you and your device from dangerous sites?
   * Send a "Do Not Track" request with your browsing traffic?
   * Block third-party cookies?   * Popups blocked?
   Having to use Safari or Edge is kinda irritating.

2) accurite.com does not show products already registered?
    * Keeping confirmation emails is clunky

3) Adding new Connection in my AcuRite disallowed setting location address
   * Are different userIDs  required for devices owned in multiple locations?

4) Add vs Replace
  a) I initially Added, to verify Access function before smartHUB replacement.
      * it worked almost instantly and reported stronger signal from 5in1 than did smartHUB
  b) subsequent Access Remove worked fine (seemingly)
  c)  Replace smartHUB provoked negative feedback
       * eventually solved by:
         - cancelling Replace,
         - physically disconnecting Access from network,
         - reattempting Replace, disconnecting smartHUB and reconnecting Access
           AFTER negative feedback.
     * FWIW, my AcuRite rejected Replace when Connection had no Sensors...
  d) New my AcuRite Weather Underground profile creation was initially unsuccessful
      * Access Info/splash web page Wunderground entries were not set
      * re-Edit of "Sharing to Weather Underground" by copy and paste of Station Key
        from wunderground.com My PWS solved it.
        - Station Key is displayed at My PWS; why blanked at My AcuRite Sharing Edit?

FWIW, Edit to re-paste Station Key usually restored Weather Underground connection
occasionally lost by smartHUB.
* Access battery backup may make that unnecessary?
