Remote Display Connection Options

I am trying to verify connection options and capabilities before purchasing items.  My system is currently working with the weather station reporting to the display console and the display console connected to PC using USB cable and PC Connect.  I would like to locate my display unit to another area of the house (No USB connection).  Can't find any diagrams listing all connection options, so can I conclude that purchasing a internet link allows me to break the link between the display and PC, move the display to the desired location and read my data either on the PC or on the display (standalone, not connected except for power).  Does anyone have a diagram to reference.  Thanks

Jeffrey if you purchase an Acurite Access https://www.acurite.com/access-my-acurite-remote-monitoring.html you can disconnect your display from your computer and put it anywhere it gets a signal. The Access unit connects to your router with an Ethernet  cable and sends your data to the internet, no computer needed once set up.
