Refrigerator/Freezer Monitoring

I want to monitor the temperatures of my refrigerator and freezers in my home.  I'm wondering what is the best combination of products to:  Monitor by mobile app, Send text alerts when temperature raises above certain temp, audible alarm at appliance to let people know there's an issue, and record historical data of temps - daily would be ideal, humidity monitoring would be good but not required.  Please let me know which product would best suit the need.  Looks like maybe the 00290 with an Acculink bridge?  Thanks for any help with this.

Hi Jason,

The 00290 is no longer available for purchase on our website and is not compatible with the bridge.  For what you are looking to monitor, we would recommend looking at model 103HV along with two 06011RM Liquid and soil temperature sensors.  While this is not currently compatible with the bridge for online monitoring, it will give you the temperature of all three of your fridge/freezers on one color display unit.  It also has the capability of having programmable audible alarms from the display.  If you would like additional information, please call us at 877-221-1252

In October of last year, I bought 3 of the "1126-592TXR" Temp Sensors and a bridge 09150RM. It was sold as a 01059-bundle. I wanted to monitor outside temp, a utility room temp and the temp in a closet where I was worried about water lines getting below freezing. When first setting it up, I put one of the temp sensors in the freezer. I worked well. Once set up, I put all three sensors in position and can monitor all of them on the net. I am 90 miles away from that cottage and the system is working well. Later I bought a 5 in 1, and I am going to replace the outside sensor with that.

Roy,
Thanks for the information.  The color display mentioned in the AcuRite post above would do me no good.  Like you I want to monitor these temperatures remotely.  It would be nice to also have an audible alarm if/when I am also at the property.  By chance does your set up have audible alarms at the sensor itself?

No it does not have alarms at the sensor but I have the Acurite App "Acu-Link" on my phone and I can set alarms for each sensor with it. I can set  hi and low alarm as well as "low battery" and "No Signal" alarms. You can set it up to get notified by the APP or by email or both.

Jason David,

I was just thinking.

If you had three 0592tx sensors in your refrigerator freezers, and a 06053m repeater just outside the freezer?

Anyone tried that solutions?
Does the signal get out of the freezer enough to hit the repeater, which would send to bridge?

Hello Rick,

As of right now the only way the repeater would work with the hub is ONLY if the sensor(s) are movedcompletely out of range from the smartHUB.  The sensors cannot have anytype of signal coming through from any sensor.  Once they are moved out ofrange.  The extender can be put into place and the smartHUB will thenconnect up with it and the sensor readings. Thank you. Enjoy your day!
