Received defective AcuRite Weather Station Model 02027 / Poor Customer Service

For the AcuRite Model 02027 Weather Station that I received, brand new out-of-the-box with both temperature sensors placed side-by-side there was a 5 degree variance in the temperature reading between the indoor and outdoor units.  Even after going into the settings and manually calibrating the unit, there was still a 4 degree variance in accuracy in measuring the outdoor temperature.  I called into AcuRite customer support, left my phone number on the automated system and never received a call-back. I called in again two hours later and sat on hold for over an hour in queue before customer service answered my call. The customer service representative talked me through performing a master reset, with the same variance in temperature readings after reset. The only resolution offered was for me to send the the unit I just received in the mail back to AcyRite for evaluation and repair. Neither replacement, nor refund were an option from AcuRite.  I was very disappointed with the customer service experience with AcuRite.  Thankfully, Amazon has a great replacement/refund policy.

We are sorry for the frustration you are experiencing.  Our warranty policy does require you to send this display to us to test before we can replace the unit.  If the high reading is in the sensor we would be happy to send a replacement.  Please let us know if you have any other questions.  Thank you and have a great day!
