rainfall is recorded on the wrong day on the chart !?

My Acurite rain gauge appears to be measuring the rain accurately. However, when it records to the chart, strange things happen. For example, this week it rained two days - Sat .07in and Sun .03in. The chart shows Sat correctly (.07in) but then shows Sun ALSO with the Sat measurement (.07in) ... and Mon (when it didn't rain) shows the Sun total (.03in). A week total of .17 when it should only be .10. It almost seems like any day with rain is carried over to the next day. Have I failed to read the instructions (as usual) or is this just not working correctly. Thanks for your help.

Hello pjamesdean,

The model number provided (00614) is not compatible with My AcuRite.  Are you sure this is the model of your unit?  Thank you.

Hi Rachell, you are correct - I only selected that model from the list as I couldn't see my model - 06034

Hello pjamesdean,

It looks like you have experienced what we call a carry over. I have included some more information regarding the carry over that some of our users have been experiencing. After extensively investigating the rainfall resets andcarryovers, we have determined that this is an issue we are not able tofix.  Here is how the rainfall carriesover and resets work with the smartHUB. If the smartHUB checks in within thefirst 20 seconds of a new hour we ignore the rainfall accumulation. When we geta check in, My AcuRite sends a message back to the HUB confirming it receivedthe message from the hub. It then tells the hub this is what the time is.   When the hub gets a message back within inthe first 20 seconds after midnight it finds out it’s a new day and resets therainfall.   The next check in will havezero rainfall.  If it checks in after thefirst 20 seconds we do not throw the rain away so when the message is sent backto the hub and says this is what time it is, it resets but My AcuRite has thenrecorded that rainfall which results in the carry over you see.  Thank you.

Hi Jennifer, thanks for you explanation - It sounds like it is a matter of luck whether the check-in is within or after those first 20 seconds of the new day?My best bet may be to manually create my own graph of each daily rainfall.
