Rainfall display not uploading correctly?

I saw similar issues but no resolution.  Not sure if mine is the same.  Me device seems to be losing the precipitation accumulator total.  I have a great example as it has been raining off and on all day.  During one of the heavy downpours, the online precipitation data seems to have "reset".  At the time of this screen shot, my indoor display reads 2.35 inches which is correct and not the 0.39 inches showing.

Any suggestions?

Finally got some decent all day rain here in the desert southwest and it really shows the flaws in the Acurite smartHUB. By 7 AM my rainfall accumulation had reset 3 times. I have had no power issues and the sensor has no missed updates. It makes it hard to keep accurate data when every time it rains I have to check my data and manual keep track of rainfall totals.

Your experiment of bringing the weather software in-house just hasn't worked out. Can you please bring back the more accurate, useful, and customizable MBW.

I can add that like Drew, I also have not had any power issues.  I just checked and see it has once again lost the total accumulation.  Show ~0.5 inches here but my smart hub correctly reports 3.29 inches and still raining.  (under flash flood warning).

Thanks Toby.  Did you see George's comment on the UPS?  I take it you are not on a UPS either - correct?

I did but I am not losing power. I know my pic is too small to read but my rain reset at 4am, 6am, 2pm & 10pm....exactly on the hour. Something else is going on here.
Also, I am deleting my original reply to this post as I have moved it to this thread which is the same topic and AcuRite is involved with.

Wow Toby - That is strange that it is so evenly spaced.  Mine is definitely more sporadic.  Looking over my daily history with known rain days, my data lost appears more random.  Not that misery love company, but good to know others are also having the same issues.

Acurite Support - I tried unplugging the power supply for both my smart hub and my wall display.  (Unplugged from both the outlet and where it plugs into the device for 30 seconds.  Also pulled out batteries on wall unit)  Plugged them both backed in and will see if that fixes the rain fall accumulation.  It did not fix the internal temperature displayed measurement.  Still appears to 5 degrees warmer than my thermostat.

Acurite Support Team - The unplugging of the devices did not work.  See below.  I tried unplugging the devices at ~9:00 am which is why it zeroed out there.

Rachell, do you all even have a clue what the problem is or getting close? Patience is running out after two months of waiting. I have more resets now than I did a month ago. Some is due to it raining more. Any idea what the problem maybe? We would love more info other than we are working on it.

Thank you for the reply Rachel.  Will this fix also correct my internal temperature reading.  Seems to be off by 5-6 degrees.

Thanks Jennifer.   I am not sure where my temperature issue lies.  It is my display that is showing the temperature difference.  It seems to consistently track ~ 5-6 degrees Fahrenheit higher than my actual indoor temperature.  For example yesterday the indoor temperature was 74 deg F and the display showed 80 deg F.

It seems to have started this difference after I received the new smartHub system.  I am not positive on this but it was not an issue prior to the new smartHub.  Another variable is that I also had to replace my air conditioning system at approximately the same time I received the smart Hub system.  Not sure if it is causation or correlation factor.

I don't have anything that allows me to compare humidity readings.   I am not even sure where or what temperature sensor the display is pulling from.

So is there anyway to adjust my display to be -6 deg F than what is showing?

Hello Tod,

What is the model number of your display and when you are comparing the readings what are you using to compare it? Once I have the model number I will be able to tell you if you are able to apply a calibration. Thank you. Have a good day!

Hello Tod,

Below are the directions to calibrate this display.  This information can also be found in the manual on page 20 and 21.  We have added a link below for your convenience.  Please let us know if you have any other questions.  Thank you and have a great day!

To enter calibration mode, press and hold the up, set, and down buttons located on the front of the display, simultaneously for 5 seconds.

To adjust the currently selected item, press and release the up or down buttons to calibrate the data value higher or lower from the actual reading

To save your adjustments, press and release the set button to adjust the next preference.  The wrench icon will remain illuminated next to calibrated values.

The set order is as follows

OUTDOOR TEMPERATURE

OUTDOOR HUMIDITY

INDOOR TEMPERATURE

INDOOR HUMIDITY

BAROMETRIC PRESSURE
