Rainfall alert will not work with fractional numbers

I just upgraded to the new MyAcuRite (bridge firmware update) and have been able to recreate all my alerts except the rainfall alert.  On the "old" system, I had an alert set to let me know if more than .25" of rain had fallen.  On the "new" system, when I put in .25 and try to save, it saves as 0.  If I put in 1.25, it saves as 1.  I would really like to be able to specify a fractional amount for the rain alert.

I also had my rainfall alert set as a fraction at .25 and now can not set it back to the way it was. When can users of your equipment expect to have a patch installed to correct this issue? "Keeping it in mind for future updates" is pretty vague.

Why would the company think that one would only want to look at whole inch numbers.
Fix problems soon or unit goes on eBay

I live in the desert (Phoenix area) and any rain we receive is a big deal especially since moving here from the East Coast.  I had my alerts set at 0.02 inches because obviously we do not get many rainy days here.  To only have it set for an inch means I will probably get an alert only once a year.  Also, I used to get alerts via text but now it looks like only option is email?  Why change all this?  Very frustrating.

Hello All,

The minimum alert you can set on My AcuRite is 1 inch. We will be happy to take this into consideration for future product development. Thank you. Have a great day!

That is just crazy!  If I get an inch of rain, the damage has already been done, I need MUCH more warning then that.  Look at the rest of the comments to my complaint, you need to fix this ASAP.  Making a change this significant does not make sense.  I can not think of any situation where giving a resolution of rain at 1 inch increments makes any sense.  This was working so well in the "old" system.  I must say that this "new" interface  you have created makes me want to look for a different solution.  VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!

Jennifer, if you had read the entire thread you would have seen that your answer is redundant. What is the timeline for the fix? Can anyone from your company tell the folks here when a fix will be implemented?

A product is only as good as the support it gets from the manufacture. I think the folks at AcuRite underestimate the power of social media.

When will a fix be implemented?
