Rain total not resetting to zero on MyAcurite or WU.

Just set up a model 02064 station the other day. Have the display linked to an iMac, and set to report to WU, and MyAcurite. The problem is that both WU, and MyAcurite are not resetting rainfall to zero for a new day. Over the course of two days we received just under an inch of rain, and today we have had none, yet WU, and MA are reporting the same inch of rain for today.

There are two Phillip's head screws on the bottom of the weather vane. Look at your instructions to turn them the correct way to release what is in the measurement cup. There is a set of instructions near the back of the user manual to tell you about them. I have not adjusted mine as yet and it tells me what the total rainfall was during a storm and the number of inches per hour. So I have an adjustment to make also.

I'm quite certain I'm dealing with a software issue, as rain totals are being recorded quite accurately, but the program is not resetting at the end of a day without being manually restarted. Also have noticed that the precip rate does not report correctly. It directly mirrors precip, and does not decrease after the rain stops. It hasn't rained in hours, yet WU still shows a precip rate of 1.39in/hr. These bugs are annoying!

It is a software issue.  I'm pretty sure it's a bug in the MacOS version of PC Connect, but I don't know if there is a fix or work-around.

I'm pretty sure it's been discussed on this forum before, though.

As for precip rate, it is currently broken on wunderground for many since wunderground started changing their code this month.
