Rain amounts wrong on WU and Myacurite from 5 in1 via hub. Display on WS correct-upload data incorrect

The rain amount total for the day on both WU and MyAcurite are incorrect. For example on the morning of 1/2/17 my weather display says .60 inches for the date. (5 in 1) However the total for the day on the WU and MyAcurite say .15. I believe that may be the rain rate or the total for the past hour because this value fluctuates throughout the morning. How can I resolve. I assume this is an issue with data mapping from the smart hub to the Acurite servers. I take pride in my accurate data I send to the WU and would appreciate a speedy remedy.

Thanks, I saw all the posts that references the same issue. I thought if i add to the total the issue may get fixed sooner than later.

Hello Paul,

We did respond on your other post. As of right now we do not have an update but will let the users on the community forum know once a fix is implemented. Thank you. Have a good day!

Jennifer, in case it matters (and I'm sure it doesn't) I'm having the same problem. Recently you had emailed me about my smartHUB and that you had showed it to be working on your end.

As it turns out, yes it's working but still shows the wrong rain total.

Thanks Clint

Hello All,

The rain issue is something that we are currently working on and we just recently posted a reply in another thread. You will find the thread link and the response below.

https://support.acurite.com/acurite/topics/rainfall-resets-sporadically

We understand that this issue is frustrating and even more frustrating that we have yet to put a fix in place. We did not mean to cause further concern by stating that the issue has been escalated. This item has been the top priority and continues to be the top priority. I will give a few more details of what we currently know. We do know what causes the issue, which is a brief interruption to the network, this would be caused by an internet outage or the hub losing power, even the slightest interruption will cause the rain to reset on the next hour. This was not planned and not something we ran into during the beta testing period; both internally and externally. We are researching the best way to resolve which may possibly mean a firmware update, if a firmware update is imminent we want to be sure that we do not cause any further pain points than are currently being experienced. We are also researching other options beyond a firmware update. Please understand that we do have your best interests in mind and are taking everything into consideration as we develop an action plan. I do not have any solid answers, action plan, or ETA at this time but we will keep you updated as information becomes available. At times we do not immediately respond to posts as we don't have anything further to offer and do not want to continue to say the same thing, which is that we are still actively investigating. Thank you. Enjoy your day!
