Rain amount recording but not rain rate

When it rains MyAcurite and Wunderground do display the accumulated amount of rain, but not the hourly rate. My Display however does show the rain rate. Any idea why that would be?

myAcurite does not display rain-rate.

Rain-rate plotting on wunderground has been broken the last few weeks since wunderground started re-writing their code.

Since wunderground re-wrote their code, they have introduced new bugs.  The bugs don't seem to impact all brands equally.

I've examined the data stream, and "rainin" and "dailyrainin" (the only rain parameters in the specification) are being transmitted to wunderground as they always have, but for some reason wunderground is now not processing the data.

Huh. Well, thanks for looking into this, I really appreciate the quick answer. I guess we'll be waiting on WU once again... :-(

One thing you can do is submit a bug report on wunderground's Trello board.  Perhaps that will put more pressure on them to fix the issue.

I put one in yesterday.

I got a response from wunderground on this problem.

Wunderground is working on a short-term fix for the precipitation rate issue.  Long-term, however, they are asking that Acurite send data to a different hostname to conform to wunderground's new technology stack.

Sounds like wunderground has temporarily fixed the precipitation rate issue.
