Pressure Reading and Forecast on 06058 Display are USELESS

I recently purchased the new 06058 High Resolution Display with a 5-in-1 sensor.  Before the purchase, I was concerned about the accuracy of the pressure reading because the display lacks a battery backup and uses "Learning Mode" to adjust for altitude.  I found several posts from Acurite support representatives stating that the unit would lose its Learning Mode data if the display lost power for more than one minute.  THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE.  I have a whole-house backup generator and can never be without power for more than 9 seconds.  After progressing through part of Learning Mode, I was finally getting accurate pressure readings.  Then a wind and rain storm hit and we lost power.  As expected, the generator restored power within 9 seconds.  What was unexpected is that the the Learning Mode has restarted.  The display is again reading a pressure of 29.92 inches when the real pressure (based on an Acurite Access unit in the same room) is 29.68 inches.  This makes sense because there's a storm outside.

So what good is pressure reading on a display that can't show an accurate barometric pressure if it loses power for 9 seconds??  Answer = it's no good.  IT'S ABSOLUTELY USELESS.  This unit should either have a battery backup or allow the user input the altitude of the display and skip the ABSOLUTELY USELESS Learning Mode.

I am VERY, VERY  disappointed.
