Please be respectful in your comments and posts. As customers we are frustrated but some post have been inappropriate and downright mean

I've been shocked at some of the comments from people over the last few days. Meanspirited comments directed at the AcuRite staff, calling people out by name, and general disrespectful posts have been very sad to see. 

As a customer who loves their products, I'm angry and frustrated like many of you and want to provide constructive feedback and try to get the Acurite team to realize they have a passionate user community that they need to support.

But the name calling, personal attacks, and rude comments need to stop. Comment on the bad decision making process, comment on the lack of communication, comment on the fact that the discontinued item is still being sold on Amazon, etc etc etc. But do not direct hurtful comments at the AcuRite staff. Try to encourage them to make a change, not berate them.

I'm not going to specifically call out posts that shocked me, there were too many to name. Treat others with respect and if your post isn't trying to help the community here or try to influence a change in strategy/direction by AcuRite staff, just keep it to yourself.

Thanks Michael.  It won't go anywhere in here with the same people that we see, but I agree 100%

This last Sunday a moderator intervened and cleaned a lot of offensive juvenile garbage off the forum, banning at least one forum member.

I applaud that. This is no place for that sort of behavior.
