Jim,
There is still no way to edit on MyAcuRite. On WU, you can switch from graph to table mode and edit line by line.

Nope. :(

Question, though. Are you using Access or SmartHub? I ask because, me, along with a couple other people here that have posted, are getting false rain readings using Access. All the readings I am getting (6 in total so far) have been the exact same amount...56/100" each event.

So, that makes 4 people that have posted about this recently, that I know of. Maybe AcuRite will finally come in and address this issue with us. I'm not holding my breath...

Not going to hold my breath either BART. We could get an email to buy something else that’s better than the access at a discounted price too

Hello All,

At this time there is no way to remove erroneous readings. Are you receiving rain readings when it is not raining, or are you registering more rain than you should be? Is the rain registering on the display a well?

Receiving rain readings when there was no rain. And it's not wind related. Rain readings due to wind never happened to me using SmartHub, there has been no real wind to speak of, and all 6 of my false readings were identical...56/100".

I don't have a display (I only use the app and browser version on MyAcuRite), so I can't confirm how the readings would have been. But other people have posted about this problem, and they have stated that there stand alone display read zero while the Access was reporting rain to MyAcuRite and WU.

No rain in my area yet. My phantom rain is not showing on my display only on my accurite. It records to my accurite around 7am with diff amounts. It’s only happened twice so far. My guess it will happen again tomorrow morning (Saturday) I’ll post if it does it again with a pic

Hello Jim and Bart,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We’ve had a small handful of users experiencing an issue like this, and our development team has identified a possible cause and are looking into it. The resolution will be posted when it is available. Thank you.

I've had at least three separate phantom rain events. Every time it happens, I have rain totals registering on My AcuRite (app & browser), but not my display unit. I have called and the AcuRite support staff stepped me through a hard reset of the Access unit (a new one I had to buy back in Feb 2018). The issue came back. The most recent event was 7/5/18 and my unit showed 0.28 inches of rain on My AcuRite, showing up as two distinct 0.14 registers. This needs to be fixed! If you cannot rely on the accuracy of the remote app, this unit is completely useless to me!

Exactly. While it's annoying to have this happen, the lack of accuracy is a huge problem. If a phantom reading occurs on a day when there is no rain, it just messes up the numbers. BUT, if it were to happen on a day when there actually IS rain, the numbers will be way off, and there is no real sure fire way of knowing that it even occurred. So, you may have actually gotten .2" rain, but if phantom rain is added, it will read much higher...potentially prompting people to bypass some yard watering.

"Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We’ve had a small handful of users experiencing an issue like this, and our development team has identified a possible cause and are looking into it. " Soooooooo...where's the fix? This has been an issue for MONTHS. Has anything yet been done about it? Nope. Hey AcuRite...imagine if you had to send out product BEFORE we actually pay for them. You don't receive payment, so you contact us about it...and our response is "We've identified a problem as to why a small handful of businesses haven't yet been paid, and we are looking into it"...and months later you still haven't been paid. Is this sinking in yet, AcuRite??? We have PAID for items that are not working properly. It has been a problem for MONTHS, yet you still got paid for it, and have not corrected the problem. OUR job is to pay you for items. YOUR job is to make sure those items work properly. You have been paid. Our items don't work. Why is this so one sided, and you apparently find it acceptable?

I got this Acurite Weather Station because I installed $11,000 in zosia sod. This particular variety is supposed to get 1/2 water a week. I travel frequently and rely on My AcuRite data to adjust my sprinkler system usage. As it stands now, I have zero confidence in my weather station, which makes it useless.
