Phantom rain

Is there any way to remove phantom rain readings. There is no phantom rain reading on my home station just on my accurite

There is still no way to edit on MyAcuRite. On WU, you can switch from graph to table mode and edit line by line.

Question, though. Are you using Access or SmartHub? I ask because, me, along with a couple other people here that have posted, are getting false rain readings using Access. All the readings I am getting (6 in total so far) have been the exact same amount...56/100" each event.

So, that makes 4 people that have posted about this recently, that I know of. Maybe AcuRite will finally come in and address this issue with us. I'm not holding my breath...

Not going to hold my breath either BART. We could get an email to buy something else that’s better than the access at a discounted price too

Hello All,

At this time there is no way to remove erroneous readings. Are you receiving rain readings when it is not raining, or are you registering more rain than you should be? Is the rain registering on the display a well?

Receiving rain readings when there was no rain. And it's not wind related. Rain readings due to wind never happened to me using SmartHub, there has been no real wind to speak of, and all 6 of my false readings were identical...56/100".

I don't have a display (I only use the app and browser version on MyAcuRite), so I can't confirm how the readings would have been. But other people have posted about this problem, and they have stated that there stand alone display read zero while the Access was reporting rain to MyAcuRite and WU.

No rain in my area yet. My phantom rain is not showing on my display only on my accurite. It records to my accurite around 7am with diff amounts. It’s only happened twice so far. My guess it will happen again tomorrow morning (Saturday) I’ll post if it does it again with a pic
